Loss control is absolutely not enough, but a fundamental criteria to becoming consistent. You still need to have EDGE. Otherwise it is death by a thousand cuts.
I’m not so sure about this, at least in the way edge is spoken about on forums like this. Proper Risk management given enough volatility can be an edge in itself and is probably the most important edge.
And for getting back on track when the line of questioning was going off the rails. He is a great interviewer. For a little while I was having trouble listening when Aaron left, but he's winning me over.
Fantastic trader and up front about the challenges that we professional traders all face time to time with losses , discipline, emotions, regret, shame... Sounded genuine and this was a breeze of fresh air when compared to those traders that only win and never have problems and are all wise which is false! Thanks great interview! And his accent is just badass American!!
I think what the Gentleman needs is not a Coach or the learning of Loss Control. Instead, it should be something more deep down needs to be fixed. It is the "Real Meaning of Trading" should be to "Survive", and makes one's life grow ! Wish him all the best, and get away from the reliance on Luck.
I have been listening to chat with traders for 4 years and this is my favorite one up till now. I love how this guy refused to quit.
Same
Didn't quit but it took him 30 years to realize that you have to cap risk
what a don. Love these traders who don't sound like stereotypical traders. Just a cowboy doing his thing. Legend.

You telling me if you loss is 3x smaller than your wins, that ain't a strategy?

Options selling has unlimited risks of losses whereas in options buying premium is the only loss you take.
