  • Today we take a look at RS Components Ltd, Walsingham Dr, Nuneaton CV10 7RS.
We start at the HGV Entrance and then end up at the Visitors entrance where we are told we are not allowed to film by security.
The manager then comes out and says we are not allowed to fly the drone.
We eventually agree that all is allowed and we carry on.
Google Maps 360 Degree Panoramic Drone Photo - goo.gl/maps/Tm...
    Enjoy!

What needs to be taken on board is that security no matter if they are hired in from a separate company or not, they are this company's 'front line' and initial contact and communication with the public. So it needs to be effective and also be singing from the same 'hymn book' in respect of their training and the law as it stands on photography/filming in public.

DJ - A little request that might provide a little insight into the minds of the people who make silly requests.
Some of the people who you speak to seem to respect you after you've shown them the law, or at least explained it to them in a clam manner.
Can you just ask them after they understand you can do it (mostly drone flying), why or what gave them the assumption that you couldn't fly.
I know some of them give excuses like privacy, but what gave them the idea that they had privacy in public or indeed, being seen from public? There seems to be a deeper issue than just people being idiots as some, like the manger here was very accepting and actually knew when you refreshed his memory.
Was it the news making it seem drones are bad during the airport fiasco, or is management really telling them no recording on site, to the point they'll lose their job and scaring them senseless? Interesting to see what their thoughts are. Maybe we can tackle the issue differently if we find out why

It appears that they are FAR more interested in pushing through as many candidates as possible and collecting the money , rather than investing the time to properly train and prepare them to do a competent and professional job . Ultimately, I suppose there must be some one responsible to ensure SIA do ( at least) a competent job, but for now that is just NOT happening .

It is true, if they say no filming before you enter the grounds, it is also their right from the moment they entered into commerce.
Whilst in public, you can film what the eyes see and soemtimes even more

Oh dear what a right Karen she was lol, How ever a decent enough manager and straight away said your on public land and you can video, yeah ok he said you can't on the premises but he did say he was going to look it up.

Those houses by the lake look similar to the ones in Willy Wonka when the elevator went through the roof of the Chocolate Factory. 🏭 I guess they're are many like that in England.

this is one of my suppliers, nice to see that the staff know the law on filming in a public place, pity the same can't be said about security...
