I have a test tomorrow over log and graphing that along with exponential and everything, and we only spent one day on exponential. Never again, so this explained to me how I can graph it. Thanks so much. a>1 with a positive x = growth a>1 with a negative x = decay 0
Oh and so the reason we don't have x-axis reflection is because the a value cannot be negative...? Something like that.. I don't know. But I got it now. Just explaining it to myself. (((:
Thank you very much. I usually don't comment on videos but your videos are just so helpful, clear, and very easy to follow and I've been a viewer for years now--so I decided why not, haha. I actually learn more from you than I do from my UCONN professor ^__^ Thanks again, Drew
Wow I cannot believe how you’ve managed in a view minutes what my instructor took him to teach us 4 weeks and still didn’t understand from him thank you keep it up, and if you have physics 30 videos I really will appreciate that.
I love your videos. On this particular video it would have been more helpful had you used actual graph paper. I used graph paper and I got the same results, but I thought it would make your explanations more clear if actual graph paper could be used to show the coordinates better.
Hi. This video is great and has been very helpful as my graphing skills are subpar. I have a request similar to the post of a year ago. Can you post a video on graphing functions with base e? Thanks!
High School taught this in 2 weeks you managed it in minutes. - Thank You
you really have changed my life. Thank you so much for your tutorials I never could have gotten an A without you
i can not believe i have never done a video on this...
you are a life saver
thanks man i was getting super confused about the negative exponents on top of the fractions but you cleared it up for me really well
you really are a savior
thanks
welcome
Thank god your channel exists
you mean allah right?
Pavel Sadovnikov: no....
Have you done a video about how to graph functions with a base of e?
Finally found a video teaching how to graph these kind of functions!! Thanks so much!!! Saved my life!!
This certainly helps A LOT.
I learned it but a review is great!
thank you very much Patrick, for all the videos!
sir i would like to say that you are great teacher and the way you explain is awesome
You should buy a white board
Your videos are incredible. Thank you so much for sharing all of these videos with us. Extremely easy to follow and very informative.
Thank you ✨ so much saved my brain from long recorded videos from my lecturer.
Got a quiz tomorrow and this has really helped thank you
no problem
@@pavelsadovnikov55 not you
you quickly make it simple and clear thanks to that left hand
I love you so much G 1 hour before my maths test you are so clutch
THANK YOU! You dont know how much this video helped me...thank you for the video and effort you put in them.
I'm learning more than i learn at school by watching this.
Thank you for this video!! helped understand more than a 2 hr lecture from my instructor.
Thank you so much! I'd take you over my current teacher any day
Thank you leafy for teaching me how to graph exponential functions
I couldn't even find this on Khan Academy, so thank you so much!
2020 and still helpful, thanks
Thank you Patrick, you are the best

a>1 with a positive x = growth
a>1 with a negative x = decay
0
Also a negative x is equivalent to a reflection over the y-axis which is why it becomes decay or growth (opposite of the original). (((:

you are so wonderful teacher, I really enjoyed you lessons, Thank you so much .
Thank you so much I have been having so many problems with trying to understand how to do this and you helped me out so much so thank you!!!
This helped so much, your also really good at teaching maths! Thnx
Jonathan Mallon “maths”
@@masonwenner1742 thats actually a word and he used it pretty properly. -_- "maths" is the british variation of math.
this was sooooo helpful and and easy approach.
50 minute lesson explained in 14 mins..what a beast XD
you're literally the best
thank you for helping me pass cal 3 patrick!
Wow I cannot believe how you’ve managed in a view minutes what my instructor took him to teach us 4 weeks and still didn’t understand from him thank you keep it up, and if you have physics 30 videos I really will appreciate that.
I can never go wrong with these methods
Omg thank you so much, I wish I had to video to watch when I was in HS. Re-studying this and I understand much better
Thank you, you saved my life. Earned a sub.
Can you always use the points 0,-1,-2,-3 and the positives for the table ???
this was so helpful omg even better than khan academy tysm i will pass math now
Great video. I learned a lot.
thank you so much. you earned a sub and a ton of views from me. you helped so much with my trig class!
Thank You Soooo Much! This helped me a TON!
thnks sooooo much this clears EVERYTHING up
Thanks for it as it helps me in my semester exam
what about y = (4.3)^x? if you put that in a chart with -1, the answer would be 1/4.3, but you cant put a fraction over a fraction..?
Helped me alot , thank you.
BRAVO MAN! BRAVO!
Omg thanks so much for putting up this vid

Thanks Alot! mahn.. could you do any physics? like newton's law and vectors in 2 and 3D?
It's definitely help a lot ! Thanks
Thank you. It helped big time!
Thank you so much! You saved me from failing an algebra 2 quiz lol
fucking legend right here
Amazing video. I know more math now. How do u like a video on mobile?
This really helped me thank you
What would the end points be
so glad I found this
thank you for this video!
Thank you! This really helped me :)
i enjoy ur hand writing
Your amazing! Thank you so much, you helped me a lot! You're super intelligent!! Thanks! Ahh, I'll refer to your videos in the near future!
Question why does y=0 on the x-axis?

It really helps.
Thanks, really really helpful. 😊
Who watching In 2o18?
how do you tolerate the smell for so long?
Great, man. Thank You
You are awesome... I love you!!!
and i like that your profile picture is a chess piece
How we will draw the graph of 2^1/x and 2^1/x^2
The exponential growth or decay is expressed by the b value, NOT the a value.
you are the best!
I'm confused. My teacher also used that (1/2)x as an example and she said that the graph was increasing. -___-
if you have y = a (1/2)^x and a
good vid thanks dad i have maths test tomorrow
What about y=-(1/4)^-x?
Isn't writing 0 to infinity wrong for the domain? y cannot be 0, I would have thought y>0 would be a more accurate statement?
You're so awesome thank you 🙌😎
Agh thank you I could not figure out how to do this homework
Great video
brilliant! thank you!!
wonderful info. thanks.
...really helped a lot... A+ =) ...💋💝thanks soh much !!!!👌
you know youre a nerd when youre watching math tutorials for fun
i don't think that being inquisitive and curious is nerdy, but that is coming from a nerd...
Thank-you so much 🤗🤗🤗
Thanks a lot man!
Thanks for the video
Good jobbb
thanks for your help,

THANK YOU!
Thanks you're awesome
I have forgotten the solution and I need it urgently: Given f(x-y)=f(x)/f(y), f '(0)=a, f '(5)=b, find f '(5) in terms of a and b.
Thank u so much!
pls answer tis 4 cos x = sec x
Thank you!
