i watched this in algebra 1, now I'm a junior in college reviewing log properties for discrete math - still using patrick's videos. Patrick, Youre great, man!
As a humanities educated person I'm picking up a math degree in my 40's (or trying to). Definitely a new way of thinking and these videos are great in addition to my classes to help a brain trained in one way of thinking to understand new ways of thinking. Thanks for your work!
@@apad Not the degree - picked up degrees in history and social sciences. But the math courses I did pick up has enabled me to see my own subjects differently and deeper.
@@apad it is cool, considering how i had forgotten i had written this, what my plans once were and what they became. Not a big fan of Steve Jobs, but I do remember how he had a speech about how all the lessons he took throughout his life - including art or typography or whatever it was - could be found in the creation of Apple. I feel my life is like that too - so much different than how I envisioned it, and a compilation of everything from the last 40 years.
@@norwaynicole that’s cool. A lot of adults I’ve talked to have told me that their lives went very different than how they had planned. Just goes to show it’s difficult to accurately predict your future.
in the expanded equation, could u put parenthesis around the 3log(x) and log(Y)? so it would look like ( 3log(X) + log(Y) ) - 2log(Z). it just seems like it would be easier to factor back out

You are singlehandedly helping me get through Calculus 1. Thank you. You pretty much covered everything I have learned so far.
