You just reminded me of something that Destiny said about Moira. Moira is a void that can’t be seen normally when she uses her Precognition. I believe that is why she was not picked up by any other precog before. Destiny only knows of her because of her close proximity and direct confrontation. You might even say that Destiny knew enough about her own abilities to figure out a way bypass Moira’s shadowy presence to precognitive abilities and bind herself to Moira through all of her lives. It’s like Xavier having to work harder with his abilities to affect someone with a mind like Mercury. As Rogue told Vargas as he resisted her ability to absorb his abilities and memories, “But just ‘cause you’re resistant, doesn’t mean your immune!” I loved that fight between Rogue and Vargas because Rogue began to understand Destiny’s books of destiny better than anyone else. Moira may be scared of Destiny, not knowing that only Destiny actually figured out how to “see” her. But because she does not know this, all precogs are on her radar now. This Tarot character is proof that Moira is a missing factor right now. Moira may actually be a new physical manifestation of precognition. Precogs don’t see other precogs. They just see the influence they can make. Like a fork in a road. Moira may be a precog who actually lives the life to have the awareness. Her scope is limited to what she physically sees but she has each new life to make adjustments. That is a theory.
A massive undertaking but could be a fascinating series and good to refer too again in the future would be a list of all plot threads currently created since HOX / POX. This would likely be a 2 part series. One for Hox / Pox. One for Dawn of X as a whole. I feel like Hickman has weaved in such a vast amount of potential future storyline seeds in such a short period. its actually kind of insane. I think his work on everything X at this point has already vastly passed his work on FF and Avengers. The scope of what he is writing has never before been seen. Its not even about all the big flashy things going on. It's all the tiny alterations to so many characters futures in comics. Hickman's time on x-men will be referenced forever in some form or fashion in future storylines. Its the same as when you look back at past events that affected so many characters.
Just realized that the "line up" of mutants in the Free Comic Book Day release is different than what came out in Creation for the "Hanged Man"...I wonder if that was intentional so as to not spill the beans? The other pages look consistent.
I just noticed that too rereading those pages! It was so well done. I wonder what the significance of the three characters that changed between the two pages?
I think this is not the event which turns apocalypse away, its going to consolidate him as an ally of Krakoa. His family who he longed for betrayed him, and he will fully adopt Krakoan mutants as his family. This will help answer the issues of trust with other mutants, touched on regularly in his appearances so far
@@cee119What did you think was so amazing about it? The inconsistency between Saturnyne's portrayal in Excalibur as adamantly opposed to any involvement by mutants on Otherworld compared to her totally blase "Everything is preordained" attitude in this event? The betrayal by a mysterious character like the Summoner so blindingly obvious that a 15-year-old could've seen it coming, much less a 5,000-year-old genius mutant? The way, in fact, virtually every character has to be lobotomized in this story (and just about every other story Hickman has ever written) in order for the silly plot to work?
@@damianpatterson9363 it's OK bro, bring it in (hugs) . You didn't like it. I did. I didn't do a deep dive, i just enjoyed what I read. Sorry that you didn't. Take care.
I would like a deep dive on the swords. Which sword is missing? Excalibur? Annihilation is most likely Genesis, but a long shot would be Storm...not our Ororo, but the older version that became a sorceress in Limbo. Marvel just released a True Believer's classic issue where an older, Sorceress version of Storm helps Ilyana break free of Belasco. That can't be a coincidence. Every issue of True Believers released is connected to everything we are seeing now.
Great stuff! Super hyped about this entire story arc... -Wondering if this has any connections(prelude) to the future Apocalypse Wars story, where Apoc was shown to hold together and be the center/source and ruler of a number of busted worlds..??.(Hickman's map page gave me these strange thoughts) Either way, great book and video! 👌
Maybe the aliens are mutants and will bond with the X-Men to power them up. That's a pretty standard event trope. Also, please do the video on the swords. And maybe one on S.W.O.R.D.?

I apologize if I misread, but Moira X does not have precog abilities...she knows what she knows because of living her lives and then reincarnates. Destiny was able to sense her because even though Moira X can "hide" from other mutants Destiny was able to sense reality bending around her...eddies...there was a "hole" where there shouldn't be one. ✌❤😎
DragonReborn3769 yeah you read me right. I am paying attention to the case that precogs actually don’t actually read each other and throwing out a theory that Moira X is a alternate kind of precog. Like a flyer having wings vs a flyer using energy.
@@cary4603 Ohhh!!!! Got it! Interesting. It would be cool if Moira X met another mutant with the ability to reincarnate. If we can have a thousand with healing factors how bought at least 2 with reincarnation abilities!?!?✌❤😎
Moira potentially knows about what is coming in this event. She ended up becoming close to Apocalypse in her life choosing his path which could elude to the fallout Apocalypse may have had with his wife in “rescuing” them and restoring Krakoa. In that same life Krakoa even has an alternate form which may be the culmination of cipher’s body as a host for it becoming truly whole. The first horsemen of Apocalypse are shown standing alongside Moira and Apocalypse in the chapter 3 of the House of X/Powers of X initial run. So those children of Apocalypse characters are not new. They were present from the beginning, but as a minor mention in the “rescue the first horsemen and return to earth”. So honestly Moira knows about this and the longer she stays quiet the more this could become an issue between her and the quiet council. She knew what Apocalypse would need to cross over and she remained silent. She might get by with Apocalypse only because she can say he needed to be strong enough to face it, but everyone else might not take her silent awareness as contributing to the survival of Krokoans. Honestly for all we know, Xavier is actually aware of this to some extent. Or maybe he was in the middle of a memory walkthrough with Moira about what Apocalypse was doing with the gates, which could be why he called him En Saba Nur during the council meeting. He may have been speaking more from Moira’s experience rather than his own faculties. I am loving this story though. I really did not trust that ever nude grandson. Lol. I have a feeling Rockslide is going to have his retaliation by killing Summoner through his eyes, which Rockslide did learn were summoners weaknesses through the game they played.
I think "kill your sweethearts" idea might not refer to the writers killing a fan-favorite character, but instead refer to Apocalypse being forced to kill his sweetheart, which lends even more credit to your theory about Genesis and Annihilation being one in the same. Tarot seems to be saying that these cards are being drawn for a specific person, a "he" -- and Apocalypse seems like the obvious choice.
I feel like when they were naming off enemies they were talking about new enemies that have spawned since the Krakoa age began, the Children of the Vault were prior to Krakoa.
I sure need a good sword breakdown, especially if these names of swords are tied to real life or comics mythology. By the way, based on the ending of the first part, alongside with the cover of the next Cable issue, something always wakes up when you power up a months-old ship. It just aligns perfectly, and I’m hoping for an Alien-ish experience.
Just out of curiosity, have you memorized the Krakoan alphabet? I have memorized it mostly, there are only maybe 5 or six letters that stump me sometimes. And I'm always confused with the T and TH.
YES. Loved seeing her use her full power like that! I know she isn’t technically an Omega, but being the daughter of one, I consider her just about omega level
Great beginning to the arc... i just wish spoilers were held in more... revealing the SWORD comic prior to the reveal at the end of this issue kind of killed my excitement over it
I think it's really weird how everyone in Krakoa just trusts the Summoner to be telling the thruth and not lying through his teeth, even though he was super suspicious since his introduction.
Right? Like all of Krakoa is suspicious of everyone and in walks Summoner with this incredibly fantastic story and The Quiet Council was like...ok! 🙄✌❤😎
Great question! I wonder if it's the artist who is currently drawing him that makes the decision, although I'm sure the writers had to have addressed this... ✌❤😎
Yeah it's been established earlier in X-Men canon (I'm pretty sure before hickman) that he can switch between them at will. I think all the horsemen actually have their horsemen personas in their persona and can unlock that persona under the right circumstances
Given how secretive she has been about her plan and the details of her previous lives (going so far as to ban precogs), "A woman keeps her cup close" does sound like a possible reference or even a metaphor for Moira Mactaggert, who was Mother Akkaba (the wife) of Apocalypse in her ninth life.
Thank you Dave for this great video and recap! There's gotta be only one Omega Level RUclips Channel and it has to be Comic Book Herald!😊 I'm wondering if you are either going to catch new goodies on your second read or if something will read differently... Gotta say, Excalibur is my least fave X book but reading XoS Creation 1 has made me glad I continued reading it (and I think it payed off). Gotta say I'm disappointed in Apocalypse...he seemed to be duped fairly easily by Summoner and everyone just seemed to take Summoner at his word...weird for a nation full of mutants suspicious of everyone, including themselves! Great overall read and the art was fantastic (Yay Pepe Larraz and Marte Gracia!). BTW, I would be surprised if Moira X has a crucial role in this event. I have been predicting since HoXPoX that she is the overall baddie of Hickman's X world and her reappearance will be grand and extremely impacting! It would be a nice call back if Wolverine gets to kill her again to restart and reset the timeline. If Moira X does appear, it will probably be at the end and in cameo form. As always, stay for the books! ✌❤😎
It would be intersting what Hickman's concept of the Phoenix. I hope he writes a future Phoenix storyline involving all avatars of the Phoenix and Moira.
I do think Moira will show up in this event as we were supposed to receive a Moira X book as stated a while back. I think that would be awesome if she is the masked villain.
Opal made an interesting comment about resurrection & immortality hinting that Architechs of it may be awakening something else from deep inside the world...
Keep in mind, for Krakoa, all the mutants on his body are a source of food for him. He feeds on their psychic energy collectively instead of sacrificing a mutant to feed him he draws small amounts of energy from every mutant in him. So it is sort of business deal. Home for the mutants in exchange for food for Krakoa.
It would be so cool if the other horsemen made cameos or the apocalypse twins. Also if genesis and apocalypses other relatives like blink and chamber show up.
Personally I feel as though A.R.M.O.R. would have been a much better fit. The mutants are mostly dealing with alternate realities rather than aliens, plus with A.R.M.O.R. you could potentially do a tie-in back into Moira's past lives and how they would have a potential impact on krakoa
@@tashoncoleman5480 Haha! It was meant to be funny sarcastic (towards the writers)...two things that written text don't convey very well! I think by the end of this event we're all gonna be so done with swords no matter if they stick the landing. ⚔️✌❤😎

You CANNOT tell me that this book isn't AMAZING!!!! OMG!
It's not amazing. It's not even mazing
@@damianpatterson9363 Dream crusher over here lol
Yes, Dave did a video on this. This was his prediction. ✌❤😎
@@DragonReborn3769 Thanks! I will go back and rewatch that for more clues!
@@RidiculousThoughts It was a Saturday video I think. Classified Swordbearer Solved.✌❤😎
Great stuff!
Super hyped about this entire story arc...
-Wondering if this has any connections(prelude) to the future Apocalypse Wars story, where Apoc was shown to hold together and be the center/source and ruler of a number of busted worlds..??.(Hickman's map page gave me these strange thoughts)
Either way, great book and video! 👌
PLZ explain the orinigs of "The Swords" and what you think about them. would make the playlist more amazing and teaching
Maybe the aliens are mutants and will bond with the X-Men to power them up. That's a pretty standard event trope. Also, please do the video on the swords. And maybe one on S.W.O.R.D.?
Absolutely would love a full sword history deep dive breakdown 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I would love a video on the swords.

I haven't seen Vargas in Krakoa. Will he join the X-Men. I hope so. I also love to see Cassandra Nova and the Scarlet Witch join Krakoa.
@@DragonReborn3769 I wonder if Moira had a life in which the Phoenix finally succeeded in defeating all enemies of Krakoa including Orchis and Nimrod.
Please do a history of the swords!
I need a deep dive on those swords please
Really dope theory!
Thats an interesting read. Yeah, I could see that!
I feel like when they were naming off enemies they were talking about new enemies that have spawned since the Krakoa age began, the Children of the Vault were prior to Krakoa.
I'm down to hear more about the different swords!
👏🏽🙌🏽🤘🏽
amazing read. so many goodies
Polaris is the kick ass here. Let's see what's coming in X-factor #4.
YES. Loved seeing her use her full power like that! I know she isn’t technically an Omega, but being the daughter of one, I consider her just about omega level
@@davidmendez5933 Pretty much...yea. Polaris is more than meets the eye. She's extremely powerful that for sure.
she's the star in X-Factor 4 but it remains to be seen her relevance to this storyline in the end
@@wintherr3527 she plays a fairly big role later.
Great beginning to the arc... i just wish spoilers were held in more... revealing the SWORD comic prior to the reveal at the end of this issue kind of killed my excitement over it
I love the world building in this issue.
So is it established that Angel can switch between his feathered self and Archangel self at will? Just curious.
I 2nd this question!
Great question! I wonder if it's the artist who is currently drawing him that makes the decision, although I'm sure the writers had to have addressed this... ✌❤😎
I hope the answer is yes because that would be cool. I would love to see a panel of mid-transformation.
@@cray-seacoral Yes! Mild mannered feathered to badass bladed! ✌❤😎
Yeah it's been established earlier in X-Men canon (I'm pretty sure before hickman) that he can switch between them at will. I think all the horsemen actually have their horsemen personas in their persona and can unlock that persona under the right circumstances
Do a video about the swords!
Please do one the swords
Definitely interested in the story of the swords.
Are there really 11 swords in the arakko side?
But this only exacerbates my last question back in X-men 12: CAN they bring Rockslide back? He doesn't have DNA, he's pure energy.
The tournament arc for the x-men to deal
lol
TOURNAMEEEEEEENT ARC!
I've been looking for a breakdown of the swords!! ⚔
Now Excalibur actually makes sense.
Right? It's my least fave of the X books. ✌❤😎
Im interested in a krakin krakoa on the swords
its not a question. you HAVE to do an episode on the swords :). we need your knowledge.
Tell us about the swords!!
Opal made an interesting comment about resurrection & immortality hinting that Architechs of it may be awakening something else from deep inside the world...
19:16 The suit of Cups corresponds with the suit of Hearts...
Please please please do a deep dive on the swords.
14:11 why arrako's blades are 11?
Keep in mind, for Krakoa, all the mutants on his body are a source of food for him. He feeds on their psychic energy collectively instead of sacrificing a mutant to feed him he draws small amounts of energy from every mutant in him.
So it is sort of business deal. Home for the mutants in exchange for food for Krakoa.
It would be so cool if the other horsemen made cameos or the apocalypse twins. Also if genesis and apocalypses other relatives like blink and chamber show up.
id like a video about the swords
I'm confused about Arrako; why does there need to be a gate to it if it reunited with Krakoa?
Only a small part of Arrako returned along with Summoner in X-Men 2. The majority is still lost..
For the Hanged Man card, I think all of the characters depicted in the card are going to be sacrificed/killed ... just a hunch though.
Please do the sword video. I beg of you.
I will definitely like for Annihilation to be Genesis versus Rasputin, but I love both of the characters. Nonetheless, Genesis makes the most sense.
Bring us that sword deep dive
Who is the child of apocalypse with the red sphere head?
Make the swords deep dive!
I went from being unenthusiastic about this event to stoked.
Wasnt grasscuter the sword that young child Phoebos used. Ares' son?
Personally I feel as though A.R.M.O.R. would have been a much better fit. The mutants are mostly dealing with alternate realities rather than aliens, plus with A.R.M.O.R. you could potentially do a tie-in back into Moira's past lives and how they would have a potential impact on krakoa
Yes but...swords! 😂✌❤😎
@@DragonReborn3769 you make a compelling argument
@@tashoncoleman5480 Haha! It was meant to be funny sarcastic (towards the writers)...two things that written text don't convey very well! I think by the end of this event we're all gonna be so done with swords no matter if they stick the landing. ⚔️✌❤😎
Apocalypse and Krakoa must be protected at all cost...they are the future
I agree. I hope the Phoenix will also protect Krakoa aside from Apocalypse.
Check out the X of Swords trailer on the marvel youtube channel that came out last week, they literally confirm Genesis and Annihilation are the same person.
I wouldn't say it confirms it but yeah, strong implication! I'd be surprised at this point if it turns out they are not the same person. ✌❤😎
