  • This video created in the 40's shows how the Royal Engineers utilised their unique skills to support the British Army during that era. A great throwback produced by the war office and archive with the Imperial War Museum. As you all know, we can't forget where we come from and what made us what we are today! #ArmyConfidence #Belonging #ThisIsBelonging

@@adrianinchina1528 With respect, this sort of detail does matter. If any bit of the civil administration breaks down for some reason, then the armed forces have to step in. In my lifetime I have seen them taking over fire brigade duties because of a strike. Currently they may have to provide ferry services to islands in the west of Scotland because there is a problem with that. We have also seen troops taking over some hospital administration duties because of strike action. It's good to know that the armed forces can provide all of these skills when the need arises. Hope you have a nice day.

@@Gloriosus Hi mate, Just for context, I served 13 years as a Sapper, so am talking from inside - as I suspect you are too. All that you wrote is exactly correct in regards to possible MACC/MACA/MACP involvement of a serving member of HMF- but still doesn`t justify bringing up gender, surely?

It’s hard to imagine how this tone of voice would be misconstrued as patronising or alien to serving personnel or anyone who hadn’t attended Sandhurst or RADA…

Your meaning from the point of view of an American soldier In WW1,2 or English soldiers from other training bases? Also I couldn't work out if you were being sarcastic or weren't being sarcastic?
