Not quite true, there probably was enough people but disney has a really ridiculous rule once a show reaches 65 episodes then they cancel it. I just don't understand why because this was a fantastic show much better then the ones they have nowadays, just look at the disney channel all i see is live action crap
They were going to make a season 3 and 4 plus a live action and or cartoon movie, but there wasn't enough people watching apparently so they canceled this amazing show. :'(
@@Jackie-McCann Ratings were great as a matter of a fact. Due to the economic recession of 2007 Disney needed to cut back the cost of the show because it was expensive to make and they had other shows they wanted instead and that’s why it was cancelled. Honestly a very stupid decision on their part. The show was at its peak by the end of season 2 and got great ratings. Easily could’ve went for two more season and a movie and got fantastic ratings. It’s unfortunate what occurred to an underrated show

No they cancelled american dragon to keep hannah montana which hannah montana lived for 98 episodes.
i like the other version of them jake looks like more of a man as a dragon at the other version btw
