My recipes are always inspired by my Dad's way of cooking. He's a single dad and raised the 4 of us on his own. Now, we're the ones who are cooking for him, whenever we could.
My grandmother taught me and before my mom passed away, the thing that helped her get up and move was to get in the kitchen. So I would teach her what my grandmother taught me.
Hey I’m 16 I’m from the Ik and I go to a chef school I love trying and making new recipes I love watching your videos it gives me great ideas of what to have lunch, breakfast, snacks, dinner as I never know xxx
My grandma, cousin and aunt are my inspirations when it comes to cooking. They (and I most of the time) don't measure ingredients out and our dishes always come out amazing!
Tip: When you add salt to the water before it boils, ist will take longer until it boils ;) it’s better if you add it right before you put the pasta in
It is also better for the pots because in already boiling water the salt immediately dissolves and doesn't damage your pots by sitting on the bottom of them.
my nan is my biggest inspiration when it comes to cooking because she is a Michelin star chef so she always has cooked us the most amazing food she also owned and worked in a pub when my dad was growing up
I met the pioneer woman a couple years ago at my work. she is super nice in person as she is on tv! Was able to get a signed copy of her cook book as well!
I was a picky kid that grew into a picky college student, so I appreciate this video giving me some ideas of what to cook now that I have to do it myself lol! Thanks!
A tips for spaghetti sauce... puree any veggie your kid doesn't want chunks of. I put my mushrooms (and sometimes the onlon) with the tomato sauce in a blender for a few seconds! Also... THANK YOU for where to find Smileys!!!!! We've been looking for them since they stopped carrying them at our Kroger!
My mum she still teaching me every day the cooking and i try to teach my daughter when i can get her in the kitchen now that 16 year-old so dose happen every offen.
My dad is a chef and my moms loves to cook really healthy food... so I have been in a professional kitchen since I was two days old. I looooove to bake and cook. I have always grown up around it so I guss that's how I learned how to cook. (To give you some idea I made homemade from scratch chicken and everything orange chicken when I was 8 by myself!)
My mom also influenced most of my cooking. We have pictures of me in the kitchen with her on a step stool, a shirt and a diaper, “helping” her out haha. But mom was never a fancy cook so I drew my more “technical cooking” for lack of a better word, from shows like chopped and iron chef and all the cooking shows where they still incorporate creativity but you also get to see a bunch of different people’s different techniques.
I’ve gotten SO many great recipe ideas from YOU 🤗! But I love most Food Network shows, especially Chopped, The Best Thing I Ever Ate, Ina Garten, and The Kitchen- but I LOVE The Pioneer Woman so much, that we drove up to visit The Merc & The Ranch in Pawhuska OK for our 25th Anniversary last year! The food at The Merc (cinnamon rolls, olive cheese bread YUM 😋!) and Pizza spot (OMG the garlic knots 🤤) was absolutely AMAZING, and it was so much fun to walk around The Lodge where she films. If you’re a PW fan, I definitely recommend going (when you can, that is) 🐴🤠🐮!!
My mother was my first cooking teacher. I still do a lot of things like she does. I’m also inspired by a lot of RUclips cooks. My diet is gluten- and dairy-free so that has changed the direction my cooking takes these days.
I learned to cook from food network and lovely youtube families like you guys and others! Thank you guys so much! I'm about to be a stepmom and this helps me so much cause one is toddler and the other is elementary school aged this helps me figure out what to pack and make them cute!! Love this channel!!
Definitely learned myself from watching food network and RUclips! My granny taught me some basics of cooking, but she was not a homemade cook like I tend to be. She was a corned cutter. :)
Salted water also boils faster and gets hotter than unsalted water. I also add a tbsp of oil to the water as it helps to keep the pasta from clumping together.
So my family makes a chicken and rice casserole where you boil some chicken, in another pot broccoli and another rice one it’s all done you shred your chicken then mix it with broccoli and rice and some great of mushroom soup, when that’s mixed you put it in a casserole dish with cheeses on top then bake it till the cheese is melted and it’s amazing
Spaghetti was delicious! I added honey for sweetness. The taco meat balls were good, especially with a side of cheese sauce. I will try the others next ! So glad I found this channel
My biggest food influence would be my grandma. She uses tinned things and frozen things to make delicious, healthy meals. She's who got me into cooking too.
Hi Jennifer. Love your videos! I have a tip to share with you about making meatloaf or meatballs. My tip is to mix the seasoning first before you put the meat in. That way you don't over mix your meat mixture and won't be tough when you cook it. Hope it helps!! 😊
I adore the Pioneer Woman! I met her on her previous cookbook tour and she was so sweet! I never attend a party without bringing her Peanut Butter Cup Cookies :)
Hi Family Fudge! The meals look delicious. The current times have really required a new level of creativity in the kitchen. Ingredients are still hard to find and I am still unwilling to into the store. So, I order and pickup, but it's not easy to get the variety I'm used to. So, any inspiration is welcome. Thanks for making these. My challenge now is to make these without using the oven. You know what, I bet I can make it happen! Wish me luck!! 😎
My Memei (she’s French) taught me mostly and then the food network. Recently Entertaining with Beth (RUclips) as well oh yah and you!!! Lol love your videos!!
Jenn, I love your channel so much! Your vids are super helpful for meal prep, especially school lunch. I was just wondering if my lunch could be featured in a video. Here it is: Name, age, place: Olivia, age 13, Connecticut Main: Grilled chicken salad Fruit: Raspberries and blueberries Veggie: Carrots (With ranch of course!) Snack: Made good granola balls Treat: Watermelon rice Krispie treat Drink: Mocktail I watch every single vid you make and it has always been my dream for one of my lunch ideas to be featured! Even if you can't feature this, can I get a shoutout? Since this is so long, I will comment it separately. But, anyways I think you videos are very entertaining and helpful!
Paula Deen was my inspiration to get in the kitchen to cook and bake. The #1 Queen then Pioneer Woman is wonderful also!! Love Pioneer Woman and so many things I make of hers gets rave reviews/compliments. Her Pan Fried Pork Chops are wonderful, her Olive Cheese Bread is requested by my husband and her Best Ever Chocolate Sheet Cake are tops with the ladies at church, just to name a few...oh and her baked beans are the bomb...I could go on and on with go to's of hers.
