  • In Dave The Diver some dishes are harder to make and level up than others. That said there are also very easy dishes to make and level up. Here I will cover what dishes to unlock, how to unlock them and in what order. Starting from a basic easy to make cheap dish with decent profits. All the way up to incredibly cheap dishes with huge profits. The fish farm will be your greatest ally for making these dishes. This video will show you almost everything you need to know.

    Thanks for the great tutorial. I agree with these dishes for just making money. Event dishes should be talked about, as you could make even more money.

    I am aiming to have all the dishes to max level!! I don't have all the dishes but based on your comments, I will be leaving more fishes to breed, i only left two of each (not such a good idea lol).

    10:50 I don't understand how's the 'one portion dish' is better? wdym by more portions = overfeeding customer?
    What I understand is, if I make 1 Tropical fish set = Used 9 fish meats + 3 Rice = 9 portions = Serve 9 ppl = Get 1387 x 9 = $12,483
    isn't that better than one portion dish that can serve only one customer?

    • @Randomturtle001
      @Randomturtle001  7 месяцев назад +6

      It's not that it's better, it's that sometimes you're better off using a 1 portion dish. For example at Gold Cooksta rank, you'll have 28 customers visit you per day. Tropical fish sushi set has 9 portions. If you serve the tropical fish sushi set 3 times it will feed 27 people (9 x 3 = 27), you still have 1 person left to feed, if you put on another Tropical fish sushi set, the customer will eat 1 portion and the day will end with 8 portions left over which are discarded, meaning the 4th one you make uses 9 fish and 3 rice to serve only 1 person, as all other portions got discarded. In situations like that you'll want to serve Special Fried Shrimp Sushi.
      This also occurs if you serve 2 12 serving dishes and 2 9 serving dishes at diamond rank as you have 45 customers to serve and that portions only add to 42. Similarly if you serve a 6 serving dish like Soy Sauce Marinated Crab 7 times, it only reaches 42, instead of 45.
      Overall what I mean is sometimes the number of portions you're serving and the maximum number of customers don't line up nicely and you need to use something like the Special Fried Shrimp Sushi to bridge the gap.

      @@Randomturtle001 thanks mate, that's very clear! it's about like more portion dishes could limit the variety of orders interesting system hey!

    I’m confused on how much of each to put into the menu for the night. I don’t want to do too few as then I run out. But too many and they don’t sell before closing
    Any tips on that subject?

    • @Randomturtle001
      @Randomturtle001  8 месяцев назад +1

      Each cooksta rank has a predetermined maximum amount of customers that will visit on a night. It's been a long time since I was a lower cooksta rank. According to a forum post I wrote at Gold Rank there will be 28 customers per night (21 if you go night diving), Platinum is 36 customers per night, and Diamond is 45 customers per night.
      I'm unsure if these numbers are still correct. Your best off checking yourself. To do this all you need to do it open the restaurant and see how many customers you end up serving. It should be roughly the same every night.
      That said I have seen it fluctuate by 1 or 2 people. I think sometimes I end up with 42 customers served, however the theory on that is that it's about how fast you serve customers as if there is no seat free then a customer won't sit down.

    • @codycast
      @codycast 8 месяцев назад

      @@Randomturtle001 interesting. I thought you were open for a given amount of time. And thus the faster the servers and cooks, the more you could serve during that time.

    "Mid game" Bro you're *nearly an entire year of in-game time* throughout this video! This is likely a great video for other people but it is simply *not* for anyone in the "early-mid" game outright & at 90 hours in this didn't help me because I'm not at the end game is all.

    • @Randomturtle001
      @Randomturtle001  7 месяцев назад +20

      I don't even have 400 hours in the game (as your original comment before editing suggested). What you're seeing with my account is endgame stuff sure, but what I'm explaining is what dishes are going to be reliable to work on.
      For example I mention the "Stellate Puffer Nicogori" as the early game option, where it is unlocked by training almost any of the staff to level 5 (some staff unlock other dishes at level 5 instead, but if they don't have a specific unlock, this is unlocked) which can be done early. Then all the ingredients for it are found in the shallows 0-50m, the area you immediately have access to at the start of the game.
      Yes you won't immediately have the dish enhanced to level 10, that takes time, but it also doesn't need to be level 10 to start making decent money, Since price and level are in a linear relationship. It can easily be worth ~400 around level 5, where relatively few ingredients are invested into enhancing.
      The next items I mention are in order of appearance, and to give a heads up on what to transition into. For example the "Crimson Fish Roll" is obtained by training the employee "Billy" to level 15, sure that takes a bit of investment. But if you start early, using the money from the Stellate Puffer Nicogori, you'll know that you should be focusing on specific employees such a Billy as if you're doing that you'll have access to such dishes as soon a possible. You don't need to be at the end of the game to level up dishes or employees, this guide is about guiding people to the easier dishes to get a lot of.
      The menu is there for reference and to compare dishes on equal grounds to each other. Everything I'm saying is about how to get the dishes and ingredients, and when and where they're available. If you're looking at this video and thinking that I'm saying everyone should be able to get everything to level 10 immediately you are mistaken. It's about what dishes are good to prioritise and what ingredients/fish you really want to have large populations of in the fish farm as soon as you can.

    • @madac219
      @madac219 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@Randomturtle001 No it wasn't , so you're selling these after enhancing 10 times on the dish? my fish farm isn't quite there for that amount yet.

    • @Randomturtle001
      @Randomturtle001  8 месяцев назад

      @@madac219 all the dishes shown are level 10 yes. The main aim with the Stellate Puffer Nicogori is to make a small net gun and use that to catch the puffer fish at 3 star quality, as well as harvesting the Agar plants in the shallows. The puffer fish are quite abundant so obtaining them can be quite straight forward.
      It get's expensive to level a dish to level 10, but relatively it is pretty cheap to get them to for example level 7. After that it really ramps up in resource cost. So it is really up to the player how much to enhance a given dish.

    I'm struggling with money in my early game (early chapter 3), are there any "go-to" easy dishes for that early in the game where money and resources are tight?

    • @Randomturtle001
      @Randomturtle001  4 месяца назад +1

      What you'll want to do is get an employee like Kyoko to level 5 and this unlocks the "Stellate Puffer Nicogori" That dish is good for the early game, if you can get that dish to level 4 it will be even better. I have a playthrough of Dave The Diver going on my channel at the moment and focusing on that at the beginning has gone really well for me, it has carried me all the way to chapter 6.
      To make the dish all you need are the white puffer fish, the Agar plants, and soy sauce, both can be found in the shallows. The soy sauce is a bit harder to get but can be done, and if you have some dispatch employees you'll be set.

      You need to get a dish that has it's taste rating higher than the required number. If you have the Glacial Area unlocked, collect seadragons and enhance the "Seadragon Onigiri" it only requires the 1 ingredient and has the highest taste in the game.

    I wish I knew how to not worry about staff. Right now I feel like I HAVE to put Raptor and El nino in the branch, otherwise there wont be any cleaning, wasabi refilling, cocktail serving and drink serving. Is there a different setup so that I can at least move El nino to the main Bancho Sushi?
