Saw the movie, I know the details of the war well. I enjoyed the movie but it shows it was made by someone who does not know the history. The drama could have been much better... especially with the Bren/Sharon "war of generals" and the threats by the US and timing of the "highlights" such as the threat with the Syrians, the 14th counterattack, (the meeting where they almost took a vote on surrender till suddenly the Egyptians moved their reserves to the west), the battle of Chinese farm, the destruction of the 25th Egyptian brigade after the crossing, the use of the small crocodiles while the roller bridge got bogged down... Makes sense though about the lack of funding for a great tank war movie it should have been.

    Oddly prophetic.
