Hey mate I'm a bike mechanic and have owned 2 bike shops. You can stop the creaking by doing a complete strip of the bike and rebuilding with a marine, waterproof grease on every single surface that you can think of. Im not just talking the obvious places like pivot points, bb, head set and seat post but things like drop outs, handlebar clamping point, seat rails and anywhere any metal surface touches another component. This will take you 3 hours but will be well worth the smooth and quiet result. Also any brand will do creak.
I just picked up a vlt range a2. The default settings on the etube app were set quite low. So I adjusted the eco and trail modes to my liking. I seem to get a lot more battery life using the eco mode with higher assist levels. Works great so far.
I am considering the range - due to the sale price mainly- but am worried w all the travel that clearance will be an issue as far as the top tube to my nuts- can you give me an idea on how much clearance there is?
I have the same bike almost 1 year and no creaking issues but I did have to replace the rear wheel, the stock hub was trash and swapped it out for a DT Swiss 350. Totally agree on the shock I have to run a 50 hour service kit every few months or it won’t hold air.
Very Excited that I had a four-day opportunity with the VLT Sight. Had to insert some packaging material into the battery port. A little rattling was too much on night rides. The EP8 definitely needs some redesigning by engineers. The 720 watt battery was draining very fast. Maybe other testers abused-it. I use a little silicone sealant to seal ports of the motor(my trails have swamp conditions). Excellent ride. I would like to see a Norco Sight VLT model with the EP6, 10-speed, and Suntour components, at a more down-to-Earth price. As-of-now, only the extreme wealthy can enjoy the fun of e-mountain bikes.
Sweet! I have not had any battery rattles as mine is quite tight but I could see that being a thing. Short of working in the industry they sure are pricey.
Hey, did you ever solve the creaking issues. I have a 2023 Norco Range Vlt A1 components and C2 frame. I had a full frame replacement due to manufacture issue. But I'm still getting creaking that appears from the main pivot area. I'm slowly rebuilding each area to try to fix it. When i clean and re grease the main pivot area i feel like it goes away for a day but then comes back again with a tiny amount of dirt.
Im stuck between vlt sight a2 and vlt range a2, ill ride mostly bike parks and some southern ontario trials/parks what should i choose in your opinion?? Thanks!
Yeah for sure. The main difference is the A in A2 stands for the aluminum frame compared to the C is for carbon. I’d Imagine the parts spec would be slightly different too, but I’m not sure off the top of my head. You’d have to check the website.

Also picked up the range a2 about 3 weeks ago 900wh battery damn I went 3 rides before recharge 😂
Squamish local watching your review for this exact spec - thanks for calling out the fork, that was my concern too :)

Yeah, I'd like to know to I think I need to pull mine apart it's getting worse so creaky.

I have the c2 with that same rear shock issue, I’m thinking not even worth fixing just replace it with something else.
thank you for the video, question for ya regarding Narco's naming convention, what is the difference between the A2 and the C2?

It is a great looking bike and that red is sexy.
One thing i don't like is the motor rattle .
Dude your audio is incredibly quiet and uneven. Your videos are great otherwise
