The governor has issued statements, but like all others, have declined interviews. What is behind their silence? Profesor Schnur gave an excellent distinction of this protest vis-a-vis the Viet Nam war protests. Comparing these makes sense in that both involve US foreign relations. However, It might make more sense to compare how the government handles these protests with how it handled the protests against police brutality of 2020. Both are against brutality imposed on group of people. That is where Professor Levinson's analysis of how are different participants treated differently.

Dan Schnur, while educated and teaching at my alma mater- has hinted to a huge personal bias by displaying books on books about israel and a " happy passover" card in the back. The statement made across educational institutions nationwide is critical of the state of israel not the people. Same as the discussions about Russia or China. We have many jewish protestors asking for divestment and ceasefire- This is not an identity politics issue. This is asking for humanity on behalf of humans. Education teaches us about biased sources they teach us about fallacies, identity politics and about propaganda- We can't be so naive to think that the people in power would not use the same tactics and that we as americans are immune to history.
Where have you been? Did you not hear the protesters praising Hamas and saying they “are Hamas” and calling for Antifada?

Is Israel's actions where Palestinians are trapped in an open air prison being bombed and now starved to death any different than what the Nazis did to the Jewish people?
