I'm currently getting my class 1 through a "log truck driver" program at CNC. I'm about 7 weeks out from completing the 6 month course.
I'm currently doing some job searching and from what I can tell, it seems like 99% of outfits dont wont to hire anyone green. Do you have any advice for getting a first job hauling logs?

That’s because you aren’t putting the weight on, I drive a 9 axle and make considerably more because we are on a green route and can haul max weight. You get paid off of the tonnage you haul

Spit it out buddy, I tried watching but never came to anything where you mentioned what a “logger” makes. Or are you just a truck driver? Truck drivers aren’t loggers.

They make any where from $35 an hour to $50 an hour
The truck and trailer make $225-$265 an hour depending on the tuck and trailer configuration.
He’s a tri quad I would guess he makes around $200 an hour for the whole unit and probably $40 an hour as a driver
I drive a tri drive with super b trailers in the Edson Alberta area and I believe he’s in the fox creak white court area.
But it also depends on how far the wood is from the sawmill because the sawmill pays the trucks on a cycle time basis
