Talking to and having all the NPC's in-game reacting to the player's voice in real time. THAT would be revolutionary, besides the new graphics and physics of course.
This has been my #1 want in game features for a long time. I dont need them to have full length conversations with me, but at least let me talk in some ways to every person.

I have a feeling there’s going to be an app for the game almost like Facebook where you can take pictures in game or live stream, and people can interact with your posts or message your character etc etc.

@@fliko6808 considering the state of many recently released AAA game (and what *seems* like some games that will be released) it's a pretty reasonable reaction. however since it's rockstar i do believe that SP will be amazing and a blast, and R* will probably want to siphon as much of the playerbase to online as possible.
so i don't think it'll be THAT much of a waste of money, but it'll def have shark cards, and 100% game will be buggy on launch (best case scenario is some bugs and no bugs that freezes the game or CTD's). but hey just like anything yknow.. never pre-order or buy games on launch. be cautious of big games and spend wisely, at the end of the day it's the user's choice if they felt the game is worth their money or not :)

Advertisement is extremely costly, payment for using platforms by Sony, Microsoft and Xbox, costs TONS. Voice actors, live action actors, and the people who use technology to turn live action into digital data, 1000's of computers with Top of the Line components. The list goes on. 100 Million is a base for games including most of these components now. After that you have programmers, modelers, managers, encouraging bonuses, and legal fees for Lawyers used.
This isn't Super Mario. This is 3D Realistic, we have become so comfortable with 3D games that we have lost sight of the treachery involved in creating them.
BUT, 2000 Million is insane.
Well i'm pretty sure that there are people there that getting big bucks like 30000-50000 a month easy. Then you got royalties if you want to employ celebrities to voice or even use their 3d images ingame. Also if they will use real car brands that will probably cost the most to implement so people wont use cheap ass addons and knockoffs to make their own version of the game. And dont forget a new anti copy system which is uncrackable so people buy the game actually instead of donwloading the cracked one. I think there are many many costs including publishing, distributing. The reason Cyberpunk was such a success before lunch was because they managed to grab Keanu Reeves and also to create such a hype before.

I recall the server jumping being talked about heavily when Crack Down 3 was being made. Originally they were going to have the city sectioned off by servers to allow full total destruction of the world in multiplayer co-op. Would've been cool.
They could sell 42 million copies at $100 or probably closer to 100 million copies for $70 or $60. The more people buy the game, the more potential for them to also buy microtransactions.

Which couldn’t be further from the truth. Rockstar will make a great game, but Take-Two will definitely pull some BS
The primary issue I would see with full AI-generated NPC dialogue would be the tokenization cost. They would have to outsource some server to host the data and charge a premium subscription fee to recoup the tokenization cost for AI-generated content. Alternatively, they could be very selective with AI-generated content and procedurally generate the rest as a means of data conservation to stay within the means of their budget.

What they're doing is standard but the dexterity in which rockstar implements AI (as has always been) will be massively different from other AAA AI architecture models.
Though you're almost right, the thing is that they created an animation system from the ground up for the NPCs to generate animations that realistically implement it in extensive scenarios through the use of building blocks, and that makes the immersion of Grand Theft Auto 6 profound.
6:10 I don t think that means the inside building would be different for each person that enters. I believe it would be like one time generated when first person enters in the building and then it is stored in the memory and rendered for each person the same having something like a building on the map Id - apartment Id - room Id and so on. This concept it is similar to what minecraft has but at a different scale. And yes, different server, same building, different interior. Maybe it is a good idea that only some of those buildings are randomly generated but they know better.
And standard building generation it is a different concept not using AI. What they are trying to say the game is for example initially 120gb for example but entering a building will make the memory bigger because it is generated during the gameplay.
ghost recon breakpoint is a pretty huge map with very realistic terrain and all the buildings are fully designed and enterable..

I know gta online is huge but how many people hate online gaming and would rather the offline story mode would stay the focus. Playing games with friends online is fun but random people almost always ends up being toxic and less fun.
I'm one of those 'only offline single players' who really resents the online/multiplayer components of games taking up so much storage space and wish there was an option to not have it along with all the online updates.

Just playing rdr2 for the first time on Pc max out hdr with oled tv and the game feels like a ps6 game.

Probably not every building but it will definitely be a lot better than previous games. What they are able to do in Gta5 NoPixel is impressive. They have a server of like 150+ players and hundreds of houses for sale with completely customizable interiors, as well as an item persistence system where you can just leave stuff on the ground and it won’t disappear (usually).

Sounds like they are trying to copyright ai use of object placement based on environmental attributes given to objects to assist in level design, which is wild because its not like its a new idea, or concept. It reminds me of the nemesis system, yeah cool you got a concept working, that other people thought of prior, and maybe were in the midst of trying to design. I just hope the patent doesn't extend as far reaching as the nemesis system patent did. I remember reading it basically locked a lot of enemy ai design as off limits.

Every building enterable would be stupid. They would lack character. If it was just that there are like 30 houses enterable across the map and we can enter hospitals and police stations and major skyscrapers via an elevator to one floor and a mall that would be enough.

mmos: first time? I say this because they already do seamless zone/layering of hundreds or more players. Based on proximities to other players and zones, with set caps for how many players per instance/layer.
they gonna get the budget back within the first week, hell, mabye in a few days. i assume it will launch at 79.99$ per copy and just like on the trailers, the first 10-15mil copys will be sold instantly. thats almost half of the budget back then already. other half will come within the next days/weeks.

I've never cared about GTA, never liked the UI in any of the games or how they setup their missions, but I see why people are hyped....but I'm WAY more interested in the fall of the series lmfao.
I don't think it's the dev's fault either, I guarantee people are hyping it up so damn much, they're going to be disappointed on release due to small amounts of bugs (or massive if it gets rushed out too early), bad optimizations (GTA never been well optimized on PC), and just not living up to this insane amount of hype people keep generating for it. It's not going to be a perfect game that everyone loves, it's just going to be another game and that's why people will buy it and it'll be successful money wise, but people won't love it like the loved GTAV.
I doubt GTA6 is unpopular simply because of the success of GTA RolePlay. NoPixel has been able to do a lot just as a mod for GTA5, and now that Rockstar acquired them, GTA6 will probably bring a lot of improvements.
@WARnTEA I didn't say unpopular, I said didn't live up to expectations. People have been talking about it like every religious profit was going to live again and come together to fix the Earth. There's so much high expectations where if a single thing is not what a group of people hoped and/or very badly optimized again, people would flip on it even if it was a great game, or how about like with Spider-Man 2 where people didn't see a huge increase in graphical fidelity (it was there, but they focused on speed getting around the city and the fast travel having no loading screen) so they got mad and said it was not what they wanted and refused to buy it.
The power of people's expectations can destroy a game for even a beloved series.
People always say that when a gta game is about to launch and they always miss. See gta 5 never was and never will be the most "loved" gta. Every game is made to feel different from the previous one so there is always going to be a section of the fandom dissapointed and that prefers the old one. But is that enough to make the "series fall" not at all, neither bad ports or bugs. Because gta at its lowest is still better than anything the market offers.
Rockstar ain't like CDPR neither, there is no one rushing them and sure as hell they aint like insomniac and spider man 2 lmfao
Just to run gta6 at max settings and recording it or livestream it... it will be a must to have at least a 7-10k setup....
