I’m in South Korea for work , and all I hear playing outside of every store is kpop or K-rap . I randomly walked by a little outside market and some old man was playing some old Korean ballads it sounded like. I Shazammed it and I typed the song in and lead me to your video. Thanks for uploading

If you're in Seoul there should be plenty of 70s/80s vinyl bars playing old music. You might not get something this psychedelic, but the tunes are pretty catchy. I had a favorite place in Hongdae, don't know if it survived the virus.

South Korea was a tough nation of hardened people, my mother was Korean and she raised me in a different country. she was a harsh mother: punishing, smokey, iron rule...I envied my friends who had such easy going mothers, yet I loved my mother with all my heart because she was such a hard working honest mother.
the thing is, because my mother didn't raise me in Korea she kept being traditional and oldschool in her own way. rest on peace omonim!

coz they knew nothing but surviving in this shitty barren land . they had to starve 2~3 month every year , i heard they used to eat bark and some grasses and mices too . imagine you were born in a country got absolutely nothing . i'm sure your mother wanted love from its parents , which also they wanted to raise your mom with warmed heart , but situation around you won't let you to do so .

Sometimes between 1982 and 2005 I had visited a member of the church which I was a member of in the nursing home where she was. Afterwards, U stood and waited for the bus to take me back home in that Korean neighborhood with a Korean church around the corner out of sight but which that bus would pass. I noticed a Korean restaurant across the street and I was thinking about going there sometime which I never did. A young gentleman in his twenties younger than me came along to wait for that same bus. After five minutes, he broke the ice and said to me like I never would have guessed: I'm from Seoul, South Korea. I am visiting my sister and her family nearby. This is my first time to the United States and the first time I have ever traveled to the United States. I welcomed him here and said that it would be nice if he could visit everyone again.

Not sure if you will personally see this comment, but to whoever reading, here is the context behind this magnificent song, taken from Wikipedia:
In 1972, the office of South Korean president Park Chung Hee asked Shin to write a song in praise of the president. Shin refused and instead wrote a 10-minute long song about the beauty of South Korea, called "Beautiful Rivers and Mountains," which he recorded with his band at the time, Shin Joong Hyun & The Men. After the release of the song, police confiscated Shin's guitars and cut his long hair, which was banned at the time by the South Korean government.
In 1975, Shin was arrested for possession of marijuana after giving away a plant to a friend of the president's son, even though marijuana was not yet illegal at the time of his arrest. He was subsequently imprisoned and tortured. He was later imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital. After his release, Shin was banned from performing in South Korea, until after the assassination of Park Chung Hee in 1979. Regarding the assassination, Shin said, "God took Park and opted to save me." However, in the meantime, the public's taste in music had changed, according to Shin. "It was all, 'Let's work hard,' and 'Let's be happy' kind of stuff. It was completely physical, with no spirit, no mentality, no humanity," he later said. Because he could not perform, he turned to producing and song-writing, among other occupations.
