I sure hope you are right because I just don't see how this player is projected higher than Paolo. I love the 3 and d stuff but I don't see the 20pt scoring people are talking about. He can't dribble great, can't create easy baskets, and is not a good passer. Who ever gets Paolo is going to get the best player in the draft. There is no doubt in my mind.
Now youre talking. People are scared of the Durant comp and I get it buuuuuuuuuuuuut 1, Durant had DJ Augustine in college perfect pg for that level while JSJ had to work with Green. 2 His biggest flaw ball handling is one of the easiest things to fix/expand. Many similarly sized forwards like Tatum, Durant grew exponentially as ball handlers while not being the same level of shooter at the same stage.
He fits exactly what you are looking for in an elite wing prospect except that he happens to be 6’10”. He has similar numbers to Klay Thompson, Paul George. He isn’t the athlete that Tatum and Wiggins were as prospects but again similar stats but he was just a significantly better shooter than those two. His worst case scenario is Harrison Barnes. I believe he will have the career Klay potentially could have had if Klay had his own team. Even Klay as a Junior averaged 4 assists. So there was playmaking he was just never asked to do it in GS. Jabari had 8 games of 4+ assists and if you look at his last 8 or so games he was really the offense. Factor in the elite on ball defense and he is to me the best prospect in this class. Plus he will make those around him better just by his gravity. Look for teammates FG% go up just by the paint being less packed. He and Franz on the wings??? Oh my. Clippers East Coast in training wheels!!!
@@TheFieldOf68 Even Klay had started to show some playmaking as a Junior with 4 assists a game but was never asked to do that in GS. I really think some people are overthinking the best shooter and best on ball defender in this class who also happens to be 6’10” when it comes to taking him number 1.
I definitely see the Klay comparison (low dribble count/high efficiency potential). His defensive ability reminds me of Denis Rodman (can get in stance/switch and guard on the perimeter.) *I really hope the Magic re-signs Mo Bamba (not too many centers blocking nearly 2 per game and shooting 38% from 3)

Would love to see Jabari in Houston or OKC. I could see Orlando holding back his progress, and him developing bad habits on such a young team and historically dysfunctional front office.
What lmao magic FO has had some bad moves but we moved AG, Fournier, and vooch and got a good return. We brought in Mosley for this reason! Look at what Carter Jr, Franz, bamba, and Fultz late in the season were ballin this season. Young team, yes but I don’t think Orlando will hold him back. That seems like a lazy take
@@MrBmick79 historical? No lol penny and Shaq turned into T-max and Hill. banchero has the star power
Each of the top four guys have star power.
@@TheFieldOf68 Rashard Lewis doens't scream superstar
Ivey, Jabari, and Aj Griffen got star potential also
The Orlando locker room would love Jabari Smith.
JABARI SMITH#10 SEEMS LIKE THE BEST FIT FOR THE ORLANDO MAGIC WITH THE 1ST PICK ..
Beat fit overall for Magic is Chet
. Okc best fit is Jabari imo bc of Giddey just me though
@@reeeaaaalll The Magic could care less how Jabari fits with SGA
As an OKC fan I want Jabari. I can just imagine the open looks Josh Giddey and Shai can get for him. But wouldn’t mind if Chet falls to us.

Can't wait to get Jabari in Orlando.

you wouldn't draft the Andrea Bargnani remix?

Orlando Magic needs a marketable game changer! Shaedon Sharpe could be that guy!
Sharpe is a high ceiling low floor guy. Don't take him No. 1 if you want him No. 1. Trade down.
I agree Jabari Smith is best the best player and prospect

call me crazy, Jabari kinda reminds me of a right handed Chris Bosh

The comparison you’re looking for is Rashard Lewis and MPJ w better defense.
How can you sit there and say Orlando doesn’t have a lot of talent lol, markelle,Wendell, franz,JI if healthy and are 3 other guards cmon now

More Paul George than Klay Thompson, but yeah. He's a superstar.

I’m seeing some Klay Thompson
Bigger. Less of a guard more of a big wing/small-ball five.
