Hi Tee, I've been watching your reaction videos of Tori now for a few days maybe a little more than a week. I can promise you that the emotions you feel are the same as I and I'm sure so many other Karen Carpenter fans feel hearing her voice and her recordings. I've heard her sing her own compositions as well as other songs not Karen's. And they are simply beautiful. I am a hobbyist song writer and I arrange, produce and record my own tunes on that same Tascam digital deck she uses. She has the 24 track and I have that one and the 32 track. I know what it takes to get that layered vocal harmony sound! I am also a long time student of the great Brian Wilson who I've borrowed so many recording techniques from and who I was privileged to get to know a little some years ago. I will continue watching your videos Tee and especially all of those you do by Tori. She is a talent beyond measure! My cheers for James Wilkas as well who adds so much to the overall sound they produce together! Take care ! Bob Love, Los Angeles, CA

Thank you so much for your comment Bob! Do you ever put any of your work/hobby online? She is remarkable and so very young!

Hi Bob, have you seen Tori’s 3 minute video where she explained and demonstrates using the Tascam how to make the harmonies for We’ve Only Just Begun? It’s about 3 years old now. So she’s 17/18 and shouts out Chris May. Talk about goosebumps. It’s on her channel here on RUclips. If not a must see. Talk about predicting your future. I’m in L.A. too and saw Tori at the 55th. Met her and her dad. Click through my ID to my channel to see Tori’s live if not perfect performance I shot. All the links I gathered are in the pinned comment, too.

She was spectacular! The similarity of her voice to Karen nearly destroyed me. I wasn't prepared for that.

Your reactions and comments are just as priceless as the performance by Tori. Tori is the embodiment of Karen Carpenter, and has the same vocal qualities that made her the legend that she became. With a "Big Brother" to guide her, heaven only knows where she will go in the future. By the way this is way better than the Dusty Springfield version.

Thank you for your comment, I was really emotional! Sorry for not finishing the video as I usually do! ❤️

@@TeeSpicerReacts Your emotions can be seen as being very genuine and there is no need for any apology. As someone who has been a great fan of Karen and Richard since they first hit the airwaves in the 1970's, this song has a strong element of what Karen could have sung and now Tori has been able to, and hopefully will continue to do more under the wing of a "big brother".

I’ll ditto Ron and give you some Virtual Hugs too. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
That was as emotional as I’ve seen you Tee, and I was there! I still get goosebumps when I listen to this one, too. It hits home really strong for me, too. I get past it and watch again anyways. I feel exactly the same. When I saw the program at the church that night. I knew we were in for something special. Being there was something very special. None of the videos fully captured it. The “Studio” version completed the deal. It needed the Carpenters “sound” that wasn’t fully realized. It was beautiful that night, don’t get me wrong. It’s just this was all of it.
Luv ya and I’ll request a happier song next 🙏

It wasn't the song per say but the fact that KC never got to sang it and Tori singing it just allowed me to listen to how she might have sang it. And you're right. Listening to it live didn't do it justice, the studio version did it perfectly.

@@TeeSpicerReacts in the church it was magical. Seeing the song title on the program was giving me goosebumps in premonition of what was going to happen. I had her 3 year old video with young Tori singing it after the long intro on my mind. You did that short. She actually went into a deeper “homage” on the short. She smoothed it out for the live and the studio versions. Still, it was as if we were hearing what should have been. Close enough to give me the shakes the first time I heard her in the church and even more in studio. I’ve mentioned, I think, while I was shooting my video. A few seconds in I felt the audience gasp, they were experiencing Tori, many of them for the first time. I was just trying to hold my iPhone as steady as I could and not shake!
Oh and BTW I’m a Boss, now 😃

You keep saying you're sorry, no need to, sometimes music can be emotional. You're human, don't be ashamed Tee, okay?
