- I uploaded Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time the other day but unfortunately it got blocked worldwide so I might have to think about making my own backing track for that one to do it again.
Anyway, my second favourite song from Toto (my absolute favourite is Lea). Great vocals from Joseph, cool guitar work from Luke, and like most of his solos, I just don't know how her does some of it so I try and emulate him as close as I can.

*It's a Jackson Dk2 from around 04. Possibly Japanese.
*I use a Boss Me50 into a Palmer Pdi09 going direct into my computer, recording onto Pro Tools.
*I purposely have my headphone cable like that so it doesn't get in the way.
*I removed the tone pot of my guitar and moved the volume pot over so I didn't keep hitting it.

I'm finding a guitar cover of stop loving you. I watch a lot of covers but i'm disappointed because i'm expecting they do the solo of lukather in that song. But when i watch this cover, you nailed it! Especially in the solo part.

Thanks for posting! Another favorite of mine. Love Jeff Porcaro’s playing on The Seventh One. The album brings back a lot of high school memories. Try “Only The Children” or “Stay Away”...both great guitar driven tracks.

Wow, that was awesome. Hadn't checked in on you for awhile after I binged on your Starship work from Love Among the Cannibals.
Thoughts:
1) Luke's playing (outside the power chords) is soooo subtle yet brilliant on this track. Perfectly replicated. And you nailed the rather unusual, but very tasty solo.
2) According to Luke, the record company changed president's at the precise moment this track and video were to be released...and the new president was not a Toto fan. This track was SO radio ready and would have surely pierced the Top 20 as Pamela had brought momentum as a Top 30 hit on it's own. The record company wouldn't promote it in America....yet this song went Top 10 all over the world as it languished here in America. Some of these record companies were so stupid in the late 80s, and this is a perfect example. Whether it was picking the wrong single or not promoting a band, these idiots in suits and ties damaged a lot of legendary bands this way - Toto being a prime example.
Another excellent cover, and one that deserved to be done. Perfect.
