Rachel, if you like the band Talk Talk, their album Colour Of Spring would be a great album to check out those Harbeths. Obviously there are many albums to check out but it's one of my go to albums for checking how my turntable set up sounds. Another is Pete Townshends/Ronnie Lane's Rough Mix. Abbey Road for sure. For Jazz, Somethin' Else would come to mind first for me and Brubeck Take Five. You don't want to force the image by toeing in too much.. I think they way sit now, The Harbeths looks like they are toed in too much. Start with parallel to the walls, then toe them in slightly as you go. Think about vertical, latteral dispersion, front and back image etc..
Thank you, Rix. - I have one Talk Talk LP - no Townshend solo stuff yet. Take Five we have and Somethin’ Else we have. We’ll play with placement once I have them hooked up 🥰👍🏻
@@rachelsghost I mentioned Colour Of Spring in part because of Pete Townshends great mid range voice and mid range is one of the best aspects of the Harbeth sound. I have not heard those particular Harbeths but earlier models, enough to give me an idea of what they are all about.
Harbeths sound better toed-in to the listener since most rooms are small and the listener is basically listening in a near-field setup. I've owned a few Harbeths over the past 20 years, (currently own M40) that's all I've listened to in that period of time. They are basically monitors. They don't do well pointing away from the listener.

Going live is tricky! And woah, even then, now I'm remembering Mazz wrecking my chat approach on George Borden's show! Ricefield & Roxhas (I think that's the right way round), George's guests: Just as I set up the inroad one line at a time to appear to confront their attitude ("Suck it up buttercup") about cbrbillyclubbng Fred Putterman & Stevan, out the blue up comes *Mazz* at midnight with no prep & rips up my approach! Like something snapped & Mazz thought, 'To hell with chess openers in chat, let me up there! let me at 'em! don't stop me!' - - & then almost brings down George's show & smashes up the place & provides material for 5 more attackvids! Next day, he's just, What? what's up? So, no! Mazz! don't debate, on any terms! Never again! 2:42:00 'Uncle Albert Admiral Halsey' - - Let's cut short 5 more paras to say this: Medley constructions became McCartney's regular choice because he was so prolific this was the only way to keep pace with his own output, assimilating his melodies in medleys. Hence 'Uncle Albert Admiral Halsey.

Hi Rachel Regarding the Sgt Pepper; this is a Pathe Marconi contract pressing. Difficult to date exactly Most are listed as '73 but it could also be a little later. There is no HTM in the run-out. HM didn't start doing that until later in the 70s. My copy has a "Made In France " sticker top right front cover (which is very common) .
Ahh... Yes, I'm not over familiar with these 70s UK pre-issues. I have a Stereo "Beatles For Sale" from 1976 that features the HTM etching. Thank you, Bob👍🙏

Hey Rachel, my apologies, I had gone to bed. You can find Jason’s comment about harassment on his latest livestream, “The Vinyl Community View?”, in a comment replying to joecarerra. I have also taken a screenshot in case he deletes it out of embarrassment

@@67Pepper we’ll move em about a bit and see what works best, Pep 🙏
Your Harbeths look fantastic on the stands without the grilles on. They will keep you rooted to your chair, don't forget to get some exercise!!! 🤣
Just got off my exercise bike, Pep 🥰👍🏻
