With old school hockey in mind. The equipment wasn't as beefy as it is now. My 1st set of goalie leg pads were stuffed with deer hair and my chest pads were thinner and had some spots that didnt cover complete torso. Made me pay attention to my stance more. Even with a brain bucket I got knocked out a few times by slap shots.Never stopped me from head butting pucks for a save.
