    As a new hunter aspiring and practicing every single day with the equipment i have, the amount of knowledge i am able to obtain from your channel is actually outrageous. I will be ready for when the opportunity to go on my first hunt arises. I am forever grateful and appreciative you take the time to share this knowledge. Not an ounce of it gets wasted. Life changing. God Bless

      Man, I so appreciate that. Thanks for sharing and the very best of luck to you out there. Stay in it. Enjoy yourself. And remember this whole thing is about way more than filling tags. 👊🏼

    Nice and freaking warm everywhere. I just came inside from my morning practice. IMO, getting solid sight settings etc is best done over at least two different practice sessions. We all know we shoot better on some days than others and it’s vitally important to get it right. People really should be OCD on this part. I’m liking the looks of that sight. I rarely shoot past 60, mostly 40, and my old CBE TL 3 pin slider is great for that. I’m enjoying watching your journey. Almost broadhead testing time. 👍👍

      No doubt Tim! I'll be heading back shortly to really confirm everything. Then I'll re-check broadhead flight after I'm feeling SUPER confident in the sight in. Opening day is coming! 🙌

    I bought a CP in August and it's awesome. So versatile and well made. FYI, I sighted mine it at 50 and then used the number on the reference to find my sight tape but when I moved out to 60 and 70 I realized that I actually needed the next slower one. I grew up in Phoenix but I left as soon as I turned 18 cause it's too damn hot.

      Thanks for chiming in. And I hear ya about the heat. I don't blame you, haha.

      @@DialedinHunter What pin sequence did you go with? I went green, red, green, red, green with the bottom two 0.010". I almost wish I'd gone with 0.010 on the middle as well.

    Ordered the CP 5 a couple days ago. Cant wait to start the sighting in process even though Im still a bit confused. You do 30-70 with your 5 pins correct?

    How are you liking the sight? I just picked one one and about to go through the process. Any quick tips?

      Awesome man! Just make sure you are absolutely dialed before putting the tape on. Sucks having to change tapes!

    When you sight the pins, starting with the top, assuming it was 20 yards, Where was the elevation set on the adjuster. 00?

    • @DialedinHunter
      @DialedinHunter  5 месяцев назад

      By the time I got to the top pin, I had already moved the elevation adjustment when finding 20 yards for the middle fixed pin. I really don't remember where it was. Once I found 50 with the middle pin using the dial, I left the sight there and individually sighted in the surrounding pins from that position.

    Are you still using this sight? Really looking into getting one I just wanted to hear people’s opinion after a while of using it

    • @DialedinHunter
      @DialedinHunter  7 месяцев назад

      Yes, still using this sight. Great sight for sure with a ton of capabilities. I did have one issue with it rattling because of a slight intolerance. Option took care of it no problem. I also still really like a Black Gold Ascent Verdict. More simple and less going on. That was always been a solid sight for me as well.

    Can’t you just use your dialed floater pin after tapes are on and use it as a reference for fixed without shooting and adjusting?

    • @DialedinHunter
      @DialedinHunter  5 месяцев назад

      You can for sure just use the floater pin and essentially treat it like a single pin. However, using the other pins in reference to that pin might not be dead on, because your pin gapping slightly changes the farther the shot. So, if you set the floater pin to 20 yards, the pin beneath that won't necessarily hit the X at 30. I'm guessing it would likely be a bit high.
