This is yet another belated commentary-fused comments but rest assured I have listened to this album on repeat since the day you posted them. I finished a class early today so I’m sitting down to give this beautiful album some of my rambling incoherent thoughts. Intro: I love how you put the ISTJ MV into Yoona’s phone ahhhhh. Their colors match so well, did you have to put a filter/coloring or anything? It fits so effortlessly, if it was the first time someone sees it I don’t think they would be able to tell that they’re two separate MVs. Love the hot pink layout for IGAB album and the IGAB logo at the bottom, the attention to detail in your designs always astounds me. I Got A Boy: I’ve always felt like IGAB was THE entire basis for the musical concept of NCT and I feel like your cover exemplifies that entire point about IGAB being the basis for NCT’s music. Mark and Jeno opening rap are sooooo smooth. Chenle and Jeno harmonization at 1:35 fits sooo much. I really like Chenle’s vocal bit at 2:02 because it’s different from the SNSD version where I felt like everyone voice blended at that bit where as you made the note distinction very clear so it’s no longer a background vocal and it’s just soooo goood. Am I a bad SONE for preferring this version 😅 Mark should sing every English lines the way SNSD makes Tiffany do. In my mind, Mark is really NCT Dream’s Tiffany, the way you have your Renjun/Jessica agenda. I love the way you change different MVs signifying the change of different parts in the song, GENIUS! 4:38 IS HEAVEN LITERALLY. Thank you for giving me different combinations of Renhyuckle harmonization. I ascended to heaven literally. Express 999: I’ve always imagined this song as part of an action film OST and I remember telling all my friends that when this album first came out and they all thought I was crazy so thank you for using the Smoothie MV as the visualizer for this song, my inner 13 year old self feels so validated. Triple J’s pre-chorus fits them so much. The Mark/Renjun/Chenle chorus harmonization goooo crazy. Thank you for this combination and it’s refreshing to see a new vocal combination outside of RenHyuckLe. XYZ: When I first heard XYZ, I thought SM had mistakenly put a SJJD bside. JiHyuck harmonization bit at 10:50 is such a treat for me. I think this song fits Renjun and Chenle vocals so much. I know SM likes making them sing ballads but their vocals can fit these electropop songs so well. Jeno/Renjun harmonization at 11:25 is also beautiful. Chenle and Haechan adlibs at the end close the track perfectly.

The way you repeated Taeyeon and Sunny’s lines in the last chorus of IGAB was chef’s kiss ❤ I love your work.
