The only sad thing here is the fact that people think they can say what's right or wrong in regard of another persons decisions. Pete has had a really tough life, he didn't go to school to care for his mother, who was a drug and alcohol addict. At the age of 12 he was pulling pills out of her mouth and looking after his mother, at 14 he was raped. We'll never know how these kind of things will affect someone, we'll never 100% know how someone is feeling on the inside, that's why we can't judge his decisions to look like this. He was a lovely and kind human being, may he rest in peace

He even died because of a thrombosis which led to a major cardiac arrest, all due to the botched injections back in 2000. May he rest in peace!
I have lived on South Beach (Miami) for years and people with excessive plastic surgery are almost like normal and so his/her appearance is nothing "bad" or in bad taste. He has adapted and shines as beautifully as he was in the 80's. I can't understand why everyone is judging him so harshly for how he looks, even in that state he's fantabulous and don't knock how he looks. Compare other men at his age and see what a glorious Queen he is and how beautiful he/she was/is. I admire him. Stopping putting him down you don't know beauty when you see it.

They were the best of friends. They found successes and the band continued until Pete's death 23 Oct 2016. Steve passed away 4 May 2018. I can't believe they are both gone. He is with Pete now though.
What a sweet person. He truly had a huge heart. He went through so much. I loved this song. I listen to it every month. I keep all my 80s songs in my heart. I think that for a man who smoked so much, he still had his voice sounding pretty good! He just couldn't really hold his breath which is understandable in this condition. About his looks. I adore Pete because I'm interested in him more than his looks alone, but I do take great inspiration from his style . He did what he thought he had to do, it backfired pretty bad and as much as I can look past his face changes, the one thing that makes me sad is that it ruined his health. I wish it didn't and he lived longer, but if he hadn't regretted it, than I can be peaceful about it somehow. When he got his lips done, the doctor infused some chemical in there, which leaked to almost every part of his body and bonded with his tissue. His body was rejecting that fluid and developed multiple tumors around his body. They almost amputated his face because no doctor could help him. He then found a doctor specialized in reconstructive surgery for cancer patients who then went on to perform over 200 reconstructive surgeries on him in the course of 2 years I believe to safe his face. With that being said, he didn't have that many surgeries, most of it is Botox and filler. He talks about all of it in his book.

I purchased 'spin' on day 1 of release. It took months before it entered the charts in the UK. It took even longer to make an impact internationally. I always knew it would be big and never gave up hope. It was brilliant seeing this at no1 after months and months.

It was a doctor who despite a supposedly 'good reputation' injected bad filler - stuff that wasn't designed for lips. He developed infections and the filler moved from his lips into his cheeks and jaw. His surgeries have been predominantly reconstructive. Show called 'Celebrity Botched Up Bodies' did some stuff on it recently. All the meds like blood thinners and pain meds have given him osteoperosis and destroyed his teeth. I honestly feel sorry for him - this look definitely wasn't his intention. They had to remove his lips and graft skin ffs. No one wants that...
I actually was fortunate to meet Pete Burns in person on a couple separate occasions... He was always nice and really came across as a genuine kind person.... never in a RUSH but actually stopped and carried on a very nice and I must say, personal (he made you feel it was such) conversation... I still do so ever enjoy his REBEL REBEL Music Video he first did in the early 80s... :) I miss hearing and/or seeing him on TV/Internet now-a-days.... I am a Pete Burns fan; I do think he looked a lot better in the 80s and his plastic surgery messed up his face. But I still enjoy his music and I think he is a fine person.

judging by the last interview he seemed to know how ill he had been and was aware he might die young but he mentioned "ten years time" and that and I don't think he anticipated it would be so quick. It was sudden cardiac arrest caused by a clot I believe.

I know in the 2000s, I think 06, he had lip work that went wrong and almost killed him, and he went bankrupt to get it fixed, and after that, that’s when it really started going down hill. He still looked good even past that, but then later on is when he started looking like that.

When he got his lips done, the doctor infused some chemical in there, which leaked to almost every part of his body and bonded with his tissue. His body was rejecting that fluid and developed multiple tumors around his body. They almost amputated his face because no doctor could help him. He then found a doctor specialized in reconstructive surgery for cancer patients who then went on to perform over 200 reconstructive surgeries on him in the course of 2 years I believe to safe his face. With that being said, he didn't have that many surgeries, most of it is Botox and filler. He talks about all of it in his book.

I purchased 'spin' on day 1 of release. It took months before it entered the charts in the UK. It took even longer to make an impact internationally. I always knew it would be big and never gave up hope. It was brilliant seeing this at no1 after months and months.
Its the inside of who Pete Burns is and not the outside. From listening to his interviews he seems so down to earth and just wants a simple life. This is how he makes his living.

It was a doctor who despite a supposedly 'good reputation' injected bad filler - stuff that wasn't designed for lips. He developed infections and the filler moved from his lips into his cheeks and jaw. His surgeries have been predominantly reconstructive. Show called 'Celebrity Botched Up Bodies' did some stuff on it recently. All the meds like blood thinners and pain meds have given him osteoperosis and destroyed his teeth. I honestly feel sorry for him - this look definitely wasn't his intention. They had to remove his lips and graft skin ffs. No one wants that...

He was always nice and really came across as a genuine kind person.... never in a RUSH but actually stopped and carried on a very nice and I must say, personal (he made you feel it was such) conversation...

1. It's one thing to think that someone's face is a mess and still enjoy their work. Just because you think someone looks ugly doesn't mean you automatically hate them or what they do.
2. Obviously it's hurtful to say that someone's face is a disaster. That doesn't necessarily mean it isn't true. The truth isn't always nice and perfect, as much of the left would have you believe.
I am a Pete Burns fan; I do think he looked a lot better in the 80s and his plastic surgery messed up his face. But I still enjoy his music and I think he is a fine person.
