Red Bull Sōlus, one of the most mentally and physically challenging contests in skateboarding, is back for a third year. From the mind of Ryan Sheckler, this digital skate competition challenges 17 of the top pros and amateurs to deliver their best continuous line at Sheckler’s private skatepark, the SC Sandlot. Here is Jake Wooten’s run.
On June 6-8, each of the competing skaters were given one hour at the SC Sandlot to film their best line - no music, no other skaters, and no knowledge of who else is competing in the competition. They're just stuck with their thoughts, their time limit, and James Craig, this year's official Red Bull Sōlus timekeeper and emcee.
This competition format, combined with the new blood featured in this year’s roster, has resulted in the best Red Bull Sōlus to date.
In the world of skateboarding there's one quality that's prized above all others among the heroes and greats: watchability - that ability to draw gaze in a crowded field. Skateboarding is a very crowded field these days, but Jake Wooten has watchability in spades.
Jake Wooten skates for Santa Cruz, Etnies, Bronson, Mob, Independent, OJ Wheels, 6th Avenue Skatepark, and Red Bull.
Our judges, Vanessa Torres, Mike Sinclair, and Jason Rothmeyer, will evaluate each video based on style, progression and creativity.

Does anyone else find the guy who's orchestrating it really annoying??
love watching Jake skate. He goes so hard and is always unpredictable.
Probably one of the sickest run I've seen on solus
Feel for him, everything was a huge risk In his run, a front side 360 disaster transfer in Solus is defo a NBD trick
Man, Jake went hard. Huge props for going all out. He looks spent in the end there. Too bad he didn't get a perfect line. IMO, his run would also benefit from including an extra grind on one of the rails, but that's just me. In any case, he's got the quarterpipes on lock.
The production on these videos is mind blowing. The edits are gold. I could watch these for hours. Hella props to the crew and team I think this just became my favorite skate competition over night!
Jake Wooten always has a great tricks of confidences and energy to have enough consistency while keeping the right line to make a impact
Haven’t watched 5 seconds yet and I want Jake to win. He’s the best dude
So what’s the deal did they not even bother to announce a winner for this competition? I saw this pop up in my recommended 2 months later & can’t find any mention of a winner
Jake can SK8!!!!!!!!!!!…..THE END.
yo that last kickflip back disaster was sooo clean
One of the absolute best transition skaters out there. Awesome style and consistency.
James craig' reactions are priceless and the addon needed
This format brings out a lot of creativity.
This dude l is one of my favorites right now. I could watch him shred a mini ramp for hours. Such a great skater and is just a monster in the transition sections.
jake is blowing up so fast. dude is mad consistent.
One of my fave skaters, but damn, he gave it all, and it wasn't always easy to watch, imo.
Love this kid. He just thrashes.
Those tre flips look like so much fun. What a talent, thanks very much for sharing these exceptional productions. Greatly appreciated.
I hate that feeling of getting so tired you wanna throw up, but thats passion to get it doing something you love
