The hate makes no sense because the complaints are exactly what people have been asking for the last decade. A NON-confusing name to not repeat Wii U's failings. An iteration of the Switch without a drastic change. It's just the classic Nintendo hate cycle. It doesn't matter if Nintendo is beloved there's always a cycle of hate that returns. To add to this, many have complained *cough* ludwig*cough the Switch 2 isn't "colourful enough". Forgetting that the Switch 1 reveal trailer showed only Grey Joycons. People are just trying to find the worst in something that doesn't exist. Let these people complain because come release, they will fade into the background.
Unless Cindy and Irving resurface then the only people I can think of that will nearly certainly be there from CNDs videos would be Danny and Evelyn from NintendoCade. They are pretty active and still in NYC going to the store a few times each year. Thanks for keeping the memories alive. Especially the lore of Des's love for people and gaming.

I see alot people bitching about the lack innovation. I think they misunerstand what that word means. The Switch design is already solid. The Switch 2 design looks great. But what matters most to me is the internal components. Also people need to be patient and wait for April to see what the system will offer.
I think the switch is the perfect device for Nintendo’s main system i would rather them keep improving the switch like what they are doing instead of making a completely different system so I hope they continue improving the switch with a switch 3 when the switch 2 life cycle ends

Seems to me the fact that they didn't come out with a console that used an 8-Core AMD Zen 2 like BOTH PlayStation and XBox has is surprising. I don't hate Switch 2, but unless there's a massive secret announced in April like a "Nexus" dock, I'm pretty confident this will be a financial flop for Nintendo. Switch 2 stays in the portable hybrid realm, amongst all the new competition in that arena, and brings nothing new to the scene, no gimmicks, no power, NOTHING. It will be quickly overshadowed by competitors, and this will be another Gamecube situation when it got spanked by the PS2. But I hope I'm wrong, and we'll have a massive surprise drop in April.
If they did anything besides the switch2 I'd be disappointed. The switch is such a perfect concept and i want nothing more than to just get a significantly better switch. I dont want new gimmicks. Detachable controllers and a console and handheld mode is the solved Nintendo gimmick. Changing it for the sake of newness would be a fucking terrible. Just give us the same system but better so developers can do more with it and leave the core design of the switch alone. You don't wanna go back to every generation being a roulette as to if it's gonna be good or not. None of these people actually want the switch 2 to be different. They just want some flashy shit to make up temporary hype over then after a few months not care anymore. If that was the case you wouldn't still be using your switch 1 if what it is wasn't good enough and needed to be changed for something new

I think you are missing the point of the complaints a bit nintendo used to be the guys that we would all speculate on what the new console would do or look like it used to be fort knox at nintendo with legit nothing ever leaking no matter how curious you were. Remember all the crazy NX fake renders that were totally off base.This was the polar opposite with every aspect of it leaking down to the exact specs. I'm excited for the switch 2 but it really felt like they revealed it because they had to VS this was the time they wanted to reveal it to the world.
