Wow, I have to say, having listened to this entire interview, that I really and honestly like her as a person. I'm anxious to hear her now, in 2021, to see how the voice has deepened and matured. It was always a bit strident to me, but her coloratura and her singing in early Verdi always impressed me. Can't wait........
Angela Meade has power and range but she also has a vibrato -nearly a wobble- that would register on a seismograph and rattle the books off your shelves. None of the great sopranos back in the day (choose your own day) had this annoying and actually unmusical trait. Not Caballé, Scotto, Moffo, Freni, Price, De los Ángeles, Callas, Tebaldi, Cerquetti, Olivero - none of them. Why do we hear it constantly from young singers (Meade is now 45) nowadays? This should disqualify Meade for bel canto - for anything but late Verdi and verismo, really, where you can (but shouldn't) get away with this sort of unrefined sound. Yet she stepped right out of music school onto the stage of the Met.
Tiene una voz preciosa , me gusta como habla. Es una gran cantante, la mejor en Verdi en estos momentos. Gracias por subir esta entrevista.
Her voice is mind blowing. Terrific.

❤ I'm a fan. I just became a fan.
I heard her as Norma in 2013 at Washington National Opera. Wonderful performance.
She's seems very grounded and a nice person. Great interview.
I love Angela Meade.

I've heard her live many times. There's no vibrato. That's just you listening through your desire to troll talented people.
@@Muttonchop_USA I hope you are having a blessed Christmas. Warm greetings from Florence, Italy.
