"I'm one of those people that i like my wires to all run a certain direction, look clean, look nice" thats the only way to do a job man,I'm the same way and the older i get the more focused i am about that, the end result is that you will have to do the job only once and not 5 or 6 times chasing shorts and just issues in general, what i love about this kit you guys have put out is that it has those oem plugs on it, man thats nice,no cutting or having to find wires etc,its a home run for sure, thank you for everything you do. Man i have to ask,i asked this a year ago and i didn't get a good answer,on my 91, that trim piece under the steering that you took off, other companies are selling that piece and you guys are not and i buy all my stuff from you guys, when i asked a year ago i was told "once the part becomes available we will have it for sale" well its been a year and you dont,is there some licensing issue you guys dont have or something? the part is called lower dash trim panel, thank you for any input.
Thanks for the great feedback and loyalty! Since you've followed us for a while, you have probably caught on that we operate on the element of surprise when it comes to releasing new parts. Here's a little holiday hint: As far as the lower dash trim (knee panel) for the 90-93 cars... be ready to purchase one very soon! :) -Landan
@@latemodelrestoration Thanks Landan for the reply, i have actually been a customer from day one (1999) , you guys are the best, im glad you guys have Affirm too, everytime i would go pay i was like "what the heck is that, Affirm?" i found out soon enough, they are a great company man, very easy payment plans and their finance charges are a laugh ( i mean that in a good way), i used them to buy a entire Exhaust system from you guys that normally would have taken me 6 months to save up for,Bassani and Flowmasters, nothing but the best for my old war horse
Landon I'm on several groups and have experienced it myself as well, with the actuators from you guys being bad out of the box. Many many people have complained about them, I had to buy the Dorman ones and they worked great. I'm not throwing shade, I appreciate you guys a ton, just wanted to make you aware. I have personally had 6 bad ones in a row, 2 were from my account, the other 4 were from customers that bought from LMR.
I appreciate the comment and I apologize for the inconvenience. Like I mentioned in the video, we recently sourced another actuator. Unfortunately, due to the volume of actuators that we move, I don't have an exact date of when the new ones went into circulation. It was sometime in Q4 of 2024. The previous actuator was from DCR (Daniel Carpenter Reproductions). We ordered as many actuators as we could find on the Internet and tested them all over the course of several weeks. The Dorman actuator was included in this test. The newly sourced actuator that we sell performs the same as the Dorman unit for less money and we include the appropriate rivet; they don't. Thanks. Let me know if you have any questions. -Landan
@latemodelrestoration good to know, I was interrupted in my office and didn't get to see the entire video. I'm glad it's been addressed, no worries on my end, like I said I appreciate the support on these old cars and have had very few complaints from anything myself, or customers have bought from you all.
I installed this and got the LMR actuators while I was doing it. Sad to say they are so much weaker than originals. Hopefully Ya'll have a better one now. I still have to get another set and replace them again so I can finally use my kit.
I did a similar universal kit a couple years ago. But mine is an actual alarm that has kill switch and triggers and has a push to start button. I made my own key blank after i swapped to the SSP locks.
SSP locks? i hate you man (lol, im only joking), those locks are the proverbial hens teeth,i would love to have a set, i have a nephew thats a damn good locksmith and i told him once that if he found a way to make those locks for a decent price, 150/200 or so (just a ballpark) he would be rolling in silk but hes real young and he just couldn't understand, he probably thinks Mustangs are made by Chevy. On my 91 i went the alarm route back in 2000, i had it all, remote start, doors, trunk etc but once the alarm expired i just took all the wiring out (should have left some pigtails) but the people that did it did kind of a shoddy work so decided if i ever went that route i would do it myself, might have to get me this set here but if I'm gonna spend that kind of money might just be better to get an alarm again.
Maybe the wiring harness on a 84 is different and it doesn't have the OEM plugs that this kit uses? the beauty of this kit is that you dont have to be finding wires and checking for power and all that stuff just basically plug and play however if a 84 has power locks this kit should work but you ll have to splice things.
@al2vgt ohhhhhh did it hurt your feelings that I told the truth along with many others in this comment section? It's a total waste of money. Opens doors without a key but doesn't have an alarm. Yup, waste of money.
@@VansenJenessa ah that's unfortunate, but if I recall correctly the door harnesses for sn cars have different connectors than the foxes. 79-04 are all pretty much fox chassis but 94-04 are completely different than a fox as far as wiring is concerned. After 95 they went OBD2 and the wiring changed again.

I wonder how similar the wiring is in the 94-95 5.0 SN95s with non factory keyless entry. I'd be very interested if that worked.
Hope something like this comes for the OBS Broncos
Definely would be cool if there was something similar for sn95 with non factory keyless entry in 94-95

What system did you use?
Will it work on a 95 GT
would this work on SN95?
FoxLox built this kit specifically for the year range listed. No, it won't work on an SN95. -Landan
Golly! I couldn't even get the power locks to work on any of my foxes when i had them
Wonder if this would work on a late 84 fox. LMR should try an install on one to see. . Cant understand why it wouldn’t.

I like it.
I'd love to know what's different between an '84 and '85 that this system wouldn't work.
wiil it work on a manual door lock car ?
Will this kit work on Convertibles ?
hey Landen! will this work on an SVO?
Every alarm system has a keyless entry but they only hook up the auto start if it's a manual transmission. What's so special about this?
This isn't an alarm
@nunya2814 yeah, we know that. My point was this is a total waste of money and time.

@@edreynolds8721 why? Cause someone can't want keyless entry without an alarm? Smdh

Your 94 should already have keyless entry if you have power locks and windows.
