Awesome Trail! If you are ever in the Texas area there are a lot off offroad parks that are large that take a full day to explore that are really great! I would recommend Hidden falls adventure park in Marble Falls or Escondido Draw in Ozona.
Not sure when we'll be in Texas next. I actually lived in Austin for a number of years and still have family there (so it's entirely possible Glenn and I will be there again - though likely without our truck). Funny though... I didn't know about those places when I was there! 😂 (Then again, I was driving around a VW Jetta soooo... wasn't exactly looking to off-road. LOL)
@@CactusAtlas yeah definitely wouldn't be around those areas in a car 😂 I moved to Texas about 4 years ago and work downtown Austin and the only reason I know about these places is because I go off-roading but if I didn't I wouldn't have known.
Howdy Slim, my name is old goat. I'm a 1978 Cadillac. I did that road several times. Going faster and faster every time. That one real steep hill almost got me. Course I was only doing about 60 at that time. A few eroded spots my master got out and filled but, damn we had a blast. Great road, great fun all around. You missed the old wrecking yard. There use to be an old traveling medicine wagon there. Two old mines, and an old cabin. Through the years my master an I traveled that road many a time. Always carried a rolled up piece of carpet about 10 feet by 18 inches. Great for getting unstuck in that loose gravel and sand. Thanks for the memories. Now get out there and do it again. Yee-Haa!!😂😊
@CactusAtlas There's a road seldom traveled that turns south off the power line road. Just at the start of the Foothills. Easy to miss. I spent almost 30 years in Searchlight, so you know I've been around there. Been into mining all my life. Not a prospector but a professional. Lot of neat stuff at that sight. That's how I found it.
I do some serious off-roading with my sxs and I would love to take it through some of the locations he has shown but don't think they are allowed in a lot of places.
For more fun turn around in Nelson and go the other way but when you come to the intersection of Ora Plata mine road turn left you will see more mines but you will have to be mindful of your ground clearance as you drop down the water falls through the narrow canyon coming out just below Nelson
We've been watching a lot of your videos, and was just curious - what AI voice software do you use for Slim's voice? I was thinking it might be fun to do something similar for some of my RC airplane videos, and give some of the planes their own voices.
Us too! Slim is probably going to be handling trail guides like this one which are mainly help videos for anyone wanting to do the same route. I mean, it is his expertise anyway. 😂
Olá Cactus uma idéia pra você.....em algumas áreas pedregosas por aí pode haver um veio de ouro ou outros minerais poderia usar um detector de metais quem sabe?👀 kkk
He's back for a couple weeks while we regroup. We had a lot of family in town for a wedding so there hasn't been a lot of time to go out and film. Regularly scheduled fun will resume soon though. In the meantime, Slim's been giving us a hand. Or tire? Something like that. 🤣
Hi Slim😊. Love these roads. Funny to see Glenn bouncing up n down. Great scenery. Thanks for the hook up.
No problem 👍😊

🤣 Pleased to meet you, Old Goat! Now you're going to have to tell me about this old traveling medicine wagon and cabin. Sounds interesting!

Thanks Slim. I enjoyed the route.
Slim! Good to see you ol'e chap!
Your at your best talking trash back and forth with your Cactus Atlas host!! hint, hint, nudge, nudge.....😊
Slim will likely make some appearances here and there again. We're in the process of planning some trips as I speak. 😊
@@CactusAtlas Sounds good !!
I'll be waiting! Your videos are very inspiring and informative!!!!
I can't wait to get out there!
This was a fun trail and I watched this before going. It was my first 4WD trail as I come from the 2wd FWD world.
Oh, sweet! We love hearing things like that! Hope that you had a fun and wonderful time and got to visit Nelson while out there as well. 😊
Howdy Slim! I bet it would be a blast to take a RZR through the Nelson Rollercoaster!
Slim wouldn't know anything about that. 🤣

Will have to keep this in mind if we're out that direction again! 👍

We use ElevenLabs. 👍
A very fun and exciting video! Thanks Slim!
He's very glad that you enjoyed it! 😄
Loved having Slim back! Great tour!

Funny that you say that. Not necessarily gold, but we have been thinking about looking for some minerals in the near future. 😅
I’m glad you chose the fun road to the ghost town!
Gotta have some adventure! 😄
Hey Slim, are there any spot to park my trailer and take my Polaris RZR
Like to hear Slim's back 😜

I second slim being back. Missed him
Awww. He'll be around here and there. (PS - I imagine he misses you too.)
@@CactusAtlas I liked slim but getting into him was so hard. Slim is a tall truck.
Yeah, I can hear him chuckling every time I have to climb in. Especially while wearing a dress. 🙄🤣
That "fun" hilly section, at certain areas, would make me s**t! You are tougher than you think! 😮😮😮
A few of those peaks were a bit nerve-wracking. You can't see down over the hood so well! 😂
