Really impressive and really cool to see what modern Forge can do! I hope one of the Corridor guys sees this! I've always wanted to do a virtual walk-thru of their space or something and this looks like a pretty cool way to.
I really did look at everything I could. Like every wall, floor, etc had to be considered. Niko saw the Reddit post and replied. I’m sure the others in the office have gotten word of it (: But yes it is a great way to explore the space. I didn’t include bathrooms and then the very back room past the prop room on the first floor but it’s almost all there.
This is so damn cool. Are all of the assets in Halo already or can you make custom objects? Like the couches in the podcast room look really accurate, but maybe all black leather couches look the same, ha ha.
Most of it is indeed made out of blocks that you scale and resize. The core structure of the building used somewhere around 1200 objects (the wall of text part has the numbers, as I spent an hour or so deleting and tallying everything in a separate copy of the map cause I was curious) And then there’s accent objects you can place. The couches are made out of the sandbag object, colored black. Each couch is probably 11-15 sandbags. It’s been so long since I made them that I forget the count. But yes, the more intricate objects you see are accent pieces made by the developers. That includes plants, traffic cones, the desks, computer screens, etc. the stands for the computer screens are made up of resized party cups, 3 per monitor. But yes the majority of the map is primitive shapes like blocks, cylinders, spheres, etc. in the project folder I was seeing the number go up to like ‘primitive block 3042’ or somewhere in the 3 thousand territory 😂
Hundreds of hours, easily. That’s factoring in all the time spent watching videos and screenshotting various parts on my phone. I had almost 200 corridor related pictures on my phone before finally deleting them all a few weeks ago. That’s why it took so long, because I wanted to get it right. I’m still bummed I didn’t get the front end done right. There’s a few other things that are off that members of the studio might pick out, but as fans im sure you guys won’t. For one, both doors leading into studio 3 on the second floor should be exactly aligned/facing each other. In my build it didn’t turn out that way. One is further over to the left 🤷♂️ I obsessed over it and picked it apart as much as I could, for better or for worse LOL. Just figuring out all the pipes everywhere and where they went and how they connected to pipes in other rooms was a challenge in itself. Probably a lengthier response than you expected. I enjoy work like this and the headspace I get to be in while I’m working (:
This is so fucking badass, never would I have imagined I'd be able to traverse the Corridoor studio in Halo Infinite, amazing work!
Thank you so much! I really threw myself into this project over the last 5 months - to the point where I even had a dream about it at one point.

This looks awesome, I wonder how long it took you to make this.

I have yet to build my own house in Minecraft.
What’s holding you back?
