Tony and Miranda aren't taking the same approach because they don't know their daughter. I mean, seriously the first thing they did when they get their daughter back was take her to church and make her put on shoes after seeing the state of her feet. Angela and her dad had an actual connection which is the difference between the two families.

I liked this movie for what it is; Most people are not going to have a clue about how to deal with demonic possession unless its something youve been around or chose that field of work ; which is the point of the movie; Different religious beliefs, completely different families! However if the two families would have stayed on the same page the girls wouldnt have had to die. The end made me cry because im a mom so seeing katherine call out for her mom made me want to protect her and seeing the demon grab her was unsettling for me ; i feel like when youre a parent there is a protective nature that kicks in even when its just a movie or someone elses child. ❤
I liked it. It kept my attention from beginning to end. The ending definitely had me feeling some type of way when the demon took the little girl to hell.
Because the dad didn't sacrifice his own daughter and was self centered in his decision to just save His daughter, so the demon actually took her for that reason. I liked it too, altho it was a little dark. They could have turned up the brightness in the film. Like Godzilla 2016.

Agreed. It was never gonna be in the movie - but in the books also the real MVP’s were Chris’s housekeeping couple and her assistant. Fuck Chris lol - the husband from the couple was in that room with Regan the entire time and gave zero fucks about the demon 😂 and her assistant even changed the bedsheets (being in close proximity, knowing that the kid was dangerous). To me Chris wasn’t the hero - it was those two. 😂
This entire movie is woke nonsense. From the "bad white people", the single black father which we know isn't a thing, to dragging male priests through the mud, handing over the reigns to a female who according to Christianity cannot speak for God in any circumstance, the inclusive throw in every religion garbage, etc. etc. It truly nailed the DEI checklist.
It's ok to summon demons but she didn't summon demons she was speaking to her mom but she could have done a safe way. I'm A psychic and I talk to dead people thru Angels not voodoo . When I do talk to people through voodoo realms then it's possible A demon will come up if you don't have the right tools.
Even though the film sucked, I liked how they explored other forms of Christianity and other forms of faith. I would like for them to explore other forms of Christianity like Anglicanism or the Lutheran Church. I would also like to see other faiths such as Islam or Judaism be showed for other monotheistic religions as well as other polytheistic faiths such as Hinduism or Shintoism. Hell, even throw in Wicca!
I don't think this was that bad. If it wasn't for the fact it was trying to be a sequel to one of the biggest classic horror movie in a few decades now. People were naturally going to compare it to its predecessor; which is an extremely difficult bar to pass.
Writing for horror movies is such shit now a days. All they care about is throwing in some jump scares but have no care with actually creating a good story. Even though Jordan Peele's movies aren't even remotely scary at least they're written well and leave you thinking in the end. Hereditary in my opinion is one of the best horror movies to be made recently because it makes you wonder what comes next pretty much the whole entire movie
This would have been successful if Katherine's parents had their shit together. The man that had no faith had more then the two Christians in the room!

You know it's true, it's a sad and spiral down from eating the odd carrot to driving a bloody awful car and endlessly ranting about your "Carbon Footprint". Vegetarianism: Just Say No, boys and girls....
Though the movie was entertaining to me, this segment exposes how poorly written this movie was and the gaps in the plots! From the parents not getting the girls fully evaluated mentally, to Chris trying to engage the demon on her own, to the priest not following his own advise to not touch the possessed, to the family members participating in the exorcisms and communicating with the demon(s). Always remember to never negotiate with terrorists, and to never negotiate with demons b/c you will certainly lose either way! Lastly, no one in the group had any experience performing any exorcisms much less one successfully so why would they gamble with their daughter's lives and souls in such a reckless manner to not have sought out the help from experts who have experience successfully performing an exorcism!!!
The movie reminded me of how older movies were written, the story wasn’t very clear but at least it wasn’t inserting jokes like a lot of modern “horror movies” do
Yah it’s easy for us audience members to say “just don’t watch “ becuase we know the answers/consequences already where the movie characters did not lol

When has it ever been safe to summon demons?
Outside of movies? Always.
@@drakesilmore3760 LOL!!!
It's ok to summon demons but she didn't summon demons she was speaking to her mom but she could have done a safe way. I'm A psychic and I talk to dead people thru Angels not voodoo . When I do talk to people through voodoo realms then it's possible A demon will come up if you don't have the right tools.
@@drakesilmore3760 Huh ???!!!!!!!!!!!
@@UrGoddessQueen That's an interesting gift
Even though the film sucked, I liked how they explored other forms of Christianity and other forms of faith. I would like for them to explore other forms of Christianity like Anglicanism or the Lutheran Church. I would also like to see other faiths such as Islam or Judaism be showed for other monotheistic religions as well as other polytheistic faiths such as Hinduism or Shintoism. Hell, even throw in Wicca!
Good stuff loving your videos
My mom told me so many cautionary tales I was afraid to even ditch school. I never had a curfew because I was always home before I got dark outside.
Thank you again for the SFW captions on a video involving literal children being possessed and their families tormented by a malevolent demon.
All Hail the Great Lord Nerd
The title of this movie should've been called The Exorcist: Just because you Can, doesn't mean you Should. I'm talking to you David Gordon Green.
Oh, one more thing....I JUST watched an interview with Father Martins (real Catholic Priest mentioned in this vid) today. FASCINATING.
If you liked that one, you should watch Micheal Knowles and an Exorcist. Great interview
@@georgewillemin4170 I will. I'm subbed to Michael Knowles and I saw it come up a couple weeks ago. Now, you reminded me. Thank you!
@NowonBeauty for sure man
@@georgewillemin4170 Haha! Watching RIGHT. NOW.
I have seen the boondogs exorcism before so I think I'm pretty experienced
Did the writers really have to damn the one child to Hell? Like, come on.
Can't kill the minority now can we. That would be RAYCISSSSssss
That was sad!!!
It was Sad but I believe she didn't go to hell
@@UrGoddessQueen of course she went to hell bruh she was literally dragged by a demon into it
@@chokonnit7337 hell doesn't exist.
Demon: Make a decision
Victor: I'm willing to wait for it
I don't think this was that bad. If it wasn't for the fact it was trying to be a sequel to one of the biggest classic horror movie in a few decades now. People were naturally going to compare it to its predecessor; which is an extremely difficult bar to pass.
Exorcists: "Pastors! Assemble"
Parenting is hell
😂😂😂
Catherine went out real bad , that was the scariest part of the movie 😮
You could have gotten anyone, a voodoo priest, a Native American shaman, and even started with the priests from the church rather then those randoms.
The moment he said don’t shock a flatline I immediately thought:
“Dr Mike would be proud”
Writing for horror movies is such shit now a days. All they care about is throwing in some jump scares but have no care with actually creating a good story. Even though Jordan Peele's movies aren't even remotely scary at least they're written well and leave you thinking in the end. Hereditary in my opinion is one of the best horror movies to be made recently because it makes you wonder what comes next pretty much the whole entire movie
Nerd is the best how to beat RUclipsr change my mind
Can’t change what’s already a fact
Film Herald
The only way to truly beat The Exorcist: Believer is to not watch The Exorcist: Believer.
Who would live in that house after that!! And this wasn't scary I was more pissed bc of what happened to Ellen
This would have been successful if Katherine's parents had their shit together. The man that had no faith had more then the two Christians in the room!
I think it’s important that victor is the main character bc he’s way stonger than Catherine’s parents🫡💯🏆
Way better than how to beat…
Aww, I like them both. It's fun to see how they handle situations differently or similarly.
Always has been. The other guy expects you to know everything at any given time and to be in complete control during extremely difficult and stressful situations with no training at all. Complete nonsense🤷♂️
@@eduardoceron4636then he has the gall to tell me to have a damn good day after all the study and training he expects me to go through.
@@eduardoceron4636For How to Beat. You have to be the calmest person in the world during the most dangerous and murderous times in your life..uhhhh..NO..no one is that calm😂😂...all their advise is after the fact like if you had a do over..I still watch them both but I love Nerd Explains better. He just tell it how it is.
"If it were me"...nah bro if it was you, you'd be dead too😂😂
@@eduardoceron4636I think this argument is tired honestly- it’s just two different approaches. You can either approach it as the best way to survive using the knowledge the average person would have, taking into account human behaviour in danger or the idealised method of survival where human behaviour doesn’t play a role. They both can bring interesting things to the table
Dog, I can't keep up. I wish I uploaded on my channel this much
I think Father John's approach in Exorcist Parabellum from Triple Tap's channel is so much more streamlined and less of a headache. Just "prep the room" and get it over with. Afterwards, you tear down the plastic sheeting and go on with your bad self... Anyways, another classic mash up from Mr. Nerd and Martin !
In our house, we are already using one-liners from your other channel on the daily. Predator - everything is "F^CK YOU, CHRIS!" Then we laugh and laugh. Neighbors think we're assh*les but this wouldn't be the first time. Keeps them from asking us for sugar! GREAT JOB, NERD TEAM!!!!
Could you please do a “how to beat” video on a movie called “attraction” or it’s second part? It has cool alien water benders and giant space ships capable of deep faking , controlling mass media and framing people for domestic terrorism. And it has a cool revolution and a government corruption scheme.(It also has a cool underwater scene).I am asking for the ninety fifth (almost a 100 lmao) time and will continue asking.
I think it's funny cuz I've literally watched the police tell my mother you have to at least wait 24 hours before you can officially report someone missing
Just lie and say the person has been gone for a day. They won't know and it might save a life.
@@BettyWhite2171can’t they use that against you if they find out the truth? I don’t know, is it a crime to lie to a police officer? 🤔
I gotta say it is very funny that the Avengers they assemble in this movie are all basically like:
"Well, I'm not an exorcist... but I've seen some movies. Let's do this shit."
That shit is unintentionally so hilarious.
I want just one of these movies where the person related to the posseessed goes to someone like John Constantine rather than the church. And for clarification, i mean someone who practices the High Magicks, not literally Constantine.
The mad super-weapon of horror movies of old, subtlety, has left Hollywood for good it seems.
"The Avengers of Faith Healing" lmao love that part lol

As a child of Evangelicals, they may make a show of dismissing anyone who hasn’t confessed all their sins, but they’ll jump at the chance to “exorcise” a teenager for as little as doing poorly in school. Not sure how they’d handle a real problem, but if you just need a ceremony quick, ask your nearest “spirit-filled” acquaintance.
thanks for the video
7:48 A curiosity. In non-western cultures, voices-hearing schizophrenics most often report positive or at least neutral experiences. They see them as brothers, companions, or just a different voice of conscience. It seems to not really impact them in any negative way.
depends
Yeah, definitely with you on the veggie-ism. Oh yes, it comes across as all sweet and moral to not consume juicy, protein-rich flesh, but the salads lead to quorn, which leads to veggie burgers and frozen yoghurt. And finally you hit rock bottom and before you know it your brain un-alives itself with only one horrific consequence:
Environmentalism.
You know it's true, it's a sad and spiral down from eating the odd carrot to driving a bloody awful car and endlessly ranting about your "Carbon Footprint".
Vegetarianism: Just Say No, boys and girls....
With a combonation of folklore and evermore
I saw this in theaters and was a bit disappointed by the gore at first but the longer I watched the better it got and I thought it was a solid movie
The movie reminded me of how older movies were written, the story wasn’t very clear but at least it wasn’t inserting jokes like a lot of modern “horror movies” do
Why do I get the vibe from this film that the director doesn't like religion, or at least Christianity
“Trust me I’m a RUclipsr” line of 2024
I would just walk away.
I would like to point out, Angela was in fact baptized while she was still inside her mother.
Why did the lightswitch scene made me laugh😂😂😂😂😂
You could beat it by just refusing to watch it.....
Yah it’s easy for us audience members to say “just don’t watch “ becuase we know the answers/consequences already where the movie characters did not lol
A franchise that started with a film that (apparently) made audiences run out of theatres in fright, to this sequel that would feel right at home on Nickelodeon.
How on Earth did this happen?
We became less stuck up as a society. I think people would have ran out if we showed this movie in place of the original. People were just way more superstitious before the internet showed us that most religion is just stories and nothing like those scary stories actually happens in real life.
Nerd let me know you've seen these please. I'm day 37 in asking for a how to survive the crazy family in house of a thousand corpses
"Even though neither of them wound up hurt" did you forget about their fucking feet?? I'm shocked their toes are still fucking attached and not in a nearby ice box

I honestly feel like if they had went with your opinion of going about this situation it would’ve been a better movie.
8:58 i tend to get like that too when served pancakes, waffles are so much better.
demons aren't omnipresent, therefore, the same demon posessing more than one person at a time is impossible.
It's fiction, people can make up their own lore an retcon al they want.
@@drakesilmore3760"it's fiction" doesn't mean that you cant criticize it. It's called "suspension of disbelief" not "believe whatever the movie says." The movie does nothing to explain how the demon is possessing two people at once. It ruins a lot of stuff by treating it like it's normal and not a big deal that the first double possession in history has occurred. Suspending disbelief doesn’t mean you don’t think critically about it at all.
@@paytonyoder1260 According to Disney it means exactly that.
The "Blackmirror" tv series, which is British, is absolutely terrifying, with "Metalhead" being absolutely soul crushing, an absolutely realistic prediction of the dystopian Hell an AI future will be, with the total demise of man.
Thankfully demons are only mythology
