Hard for me to choose whether I like Sakuma or Kong's character development more. Also I think the Koei leutenant with bushy eyebrows who had the hots for the captain's cousin (I forget his name) is underappreciated.
@@burningcole2538 Let me be a bit more clear, Sakuma (his name means devil) is associated with the Devil, but in this specific scene the dolphin is a stand-in for Sakuma, he's the one diving in, swimming, saving Peko - the dolphin's even got Sakuma's demon teeth!
A lot of bible reference in this anime he being reborn after jumping into the water(water baptism), Smile blood taste like iron, people reference scripture "iron sharpen iron", so Smile was only good because he played with Peco.
