Honestly, you could do much worse than DLR. The guy was never gonna be a world-class vocalist, but he fit the mold of what the band wanted to be. That being said, it is nice to hear Eddie's guitar heroics clearly.

Nowadays I think "devil" was used as a metaphor for something else, such as drugs, the life of a rockstar during that time, or other things.
