You said I cannot get there from here, baby And I don't care where I'm goin' Here's to your thin red line I'm stepping over Thought you'd never miss me 'Til I got a Fat City address Non-stop talker, what a rocker! Blue-eyed murder in a size five dress Change, nothing stays the same Unchained, yeah you hit the ground running Change, and nothing stays the same Unchained, yeah you hit the ground running No, I don't ask for permission This is my chance to fly Maybe enough ain't enough for you But it's my turn to try Thought you'd never miss me 'Til I got a Fat City address Non-stop talker, what a rocker! Blue-eyed murder in a side-swiped dress Change, nothing stays the same Unchained, and ya hit the ground running Change, and nothing stays the same Unchained, yeah ya…
You forgot Woo hooo hoo hey man that suit is you you'll, get some leg tonight for sure. Tell us how you do! Come on Dave give me a break. ONE BREAK COMIN UP
Yo.. never talk S about the DLR.. he broke his nose jumping too high!!! And hit the (at the time) antiqued disco ball. He literally got in a fight with disco and killed it !!
My god, this is incredible. It would have saved us weeks of time, learning it, in high school. R.I.P. Michael J. Farrar Vinyl was all we had, and we mastered that sh+t.
38 years later, this tune still kicks ass. Ed's chunky rhythm playing here is top notch. Before hearing the instrumental, I never knew he used an octave boost on the outro.
This was really the first song that got me into VH, around '81. Musically, one of the best rock & roll songs ever written -- it's just enough -- immaculate riff and rhythm work, and Alex and Mike are right in the pocket. Lyrics great too, though I don't find myself missing them here.
Check out a channel here on youtube called Digital Split. He has instrumentals, bass tracks, drums, vocals only etc of MANY many bands etc...He has just about all VH uploaded including the Sammy years. I love all of VH period, Eddie was my overall fave of so many greats, huge part of my life. But anyways, spread the word, that channel Digital Split is awesome. Whatever vocal remover program he uses is the best I have ever heard. Cheers everyone.

Why weren't lyrics included in the original albums?
With vocals removed , you can hear every nuance of Ed's brilliance 😎
Hell yeah. Not to mention how tight the rhythm section always was
Stfu. Not brilliant at all, his guitar playing is pure cancer and hes only good because of his insane amount of talent and big hands. Zero nuance.
C"mon Dave gimme a break.
@@garcia83viz One break coming up!

This was the song that got me hooked on VH. I was blown away. Also was the song that inspired me to pick up a guitar.
Always love that van halen snare sound
Wish there was a 'Love' button! I'm a fan of Diamond Dave, but Eddie is such a virtuoso, hearing him go nuts on guitar is so awesome.
As always, Alex' hihat work is impeccable
Such a kick-ass song.
Love, Love, Love the sound of Eddie's guitar.
Now that's a guitar tone!

Dave did a radio plug on ky 102 in kansas city in 81 for unchained, said it sounds like chainsaws as rotor blades on a helicopter😉

That hard pan ruins the song with headphones.
the guitar is this high in the actual recording? too loud
Everyone was high in the 80s but also electric guitar with distortion is pretty f loud u have to lower the volume
Did you actually say Eddie's guitar is too loud ,WOW ,sad really...
FAIR WARNING!
