Do it
Was about to comment this 😂
I be kinda cool heck maybe you could even get a robotic hand
BOOOOOOO
Ofc we would
That shit should've been in the game
Truly a shame how games hold themselves back for fear of being wrong
And thus games don't really push their limits or reach the possible potential nowadays
honestly choices like this wouldve been really cool. and an easy solution to the issues people are suggesting would just be, once the main campaign is complete, you can toggle these different consequences assuming you met them in the campaign
Or you can buy a New hand, like a mecanic one😂(i agree with you, this would have been really cool)
A climbing hook hand I'm shore it's a real thing
Alternativly you could just have a prosthetic added for aiden so he can atleast have a semblance of proper climbing
Or you know just save the game
i agree with you there not much games where play a characters with missing limp and use prosthetics limp i think they should never cut this content because dying light 2 gives must difficult choices that have bad or good outcomes besides if choose to save thief hand i think it well be more challenging besides dying light is almost like twd so Aiden might be able find someone to help him to get prosthetic limp or quip prosthetics weapon
They probably give him a robot hand in a mission called : “lost friend” or “metal fist”
But it's not Cyberpunk. Maybe his superhuman abilities could have give him some regenerative power to regrow the lost hand, somehow, with some impulse. Or he could have gain something like blood hand, shadow hand, Susanoo hand, symbiote hand. Or maybe there are Hashirama's cells that could do the thing...... Somehow, even Palpatine returned. A hand could've return just as easily.
Now the paradocs we use primordial weapons because the good once gat distroyd but he can get an Robotic arm somthing we still don't have yeah It woudnt had happen and I wouldn't lose a part of me for no one

I think they had an idea to make a prosthetic system, but scrapped it off since there's not enough time, we may get that from a DLC tho, or in the part 3 if they made another one
Dying light 2: the phantom pain
Thats to much work for something pointless like that when other shit can be worked on
@@manwithballsonarm6775it’s a very interesting idea though, and it would be something that could feel a lot different if it’s in a dlc or something. But yeah it’s very unlikely since a lot of things in Dying Light 2 requires both hands like a bow
@@manwithballsonarm6775 I see your point. However, I have a counter point.
*Ahem*
Aren't all video games pointless? All of my ideas for a video game start with the words "Wouldn't it be cool if..." So I don't really see how this is any different. Wouldn't it be cool if Aiden had different attachments for his missing hand like he was Gobber from How to Train your Dragon?
@@TessdaWater Everything in life is pointless if you really think about it.
Well i think we saw that side quest Back in the 2021 trailer Oni because remember that theres a Scene where the Peacekeepers Capture a Woman in a Survivors Place and they put her down to Decapitate her And one of the Survivors said She's Innocent and the Scene End up with the Peacekeeper Cutting her Head
That's probably the biggest thing that I hate that was cut; actual conflict between survivors and peacekeepers.
The conflict in the First Section of the game needed to continue across most of the story. Even though that section was hurriedly brought to an unsatisfying conclusion, choosing survivors or pk needed to stay.
With every video about cut content from DL2, Makes me 😢😢
The whole game was cut
Alluh akbar
The original game idea and system was cut because the guy that made it had some accusations against him and they didn’t wanna use his idea’s anymore since he did something so their plan was to start from scratch pretty much and even though he did something bad, the original story line was way better how you needed to get water and etc
@@pxndje2630 he didn't do shit, all the accusations were false and techland fired him without making sure they're true or not
@@void7837 thats what I’m saying, the accusations of him made the team to not wanna use his idea and im pretty sure since they all just dropped him like that i wouldnt want my idea to be out
Looks interesting where one of your choices would make him nerfed all through out the game, in exchange for something. But I believe this will be really hard to implement, specially on balancing and needs a lot of modifications that may affect lots of things.
Honestly, what would be cool is if they gave you extra weapon options as a direct result of this, so say you can get a hook for a option that can be used as a weapon to grapple enemies so you can take them out quickly, or add a tazer to easily stun enemies in the moment, msking the lack of a hand and unable to weild certain weapons anymore make up for it in giving you a wider toolset. Also i think the one weapon choice that would be fun to make it worth the sacrafice, is adding a mini cross-bow and chainsaw to the game, so then you can dualweild a melee weapon that can be strapped to your hand without a weapon, and use a ranged weapon in your offhand for making distsnce if you end up apmost dying and need to bsck off to heal
@@green-6508I have a hard time seeing Aiden doing the things he does if he only have one hand, specially the parkour stuff

Woudla been cool but then you can’t use bows or two handed weapons
it’s possible they were planning types of prosthetics for that, but it became too in-depth and that’s why it got scrapped. You’d need different shaped prostheses for different tasks, and (like in real life) there isn’t a one-hand-fits-all solution.
@@blanketray6050I mean they could have just put in another quest to get a robotic hand.
Even nowadays their pretty decent.
This isnt my idea though dead frontier had something similar you'd lose your arm but after beating a quest it you get an artificial one that gave you +25% reload and melee speed.
Sorta like fallout NVs big mountain dlc.
I wish dragon age inquisition allowed you to continue playing after the final DLC handless.
Back when choices actually mattered and consequences were severe
I mean, Aiden almost lost his hand after getting bit by the Volatile in the tunnels. I'm surprised he still has a couple of his fingers left.
This reminded me of Rais saying my right of your left when you first meet him in dl1
I feel like it would be cool if techland makes a game wheres its in the dying light series but you can make a character and the longer you play the more your character gets scarred up from all previous battles
I would LOVE to see stuff like this either added through updates or DLC2
If this was in the game I wonder how two handed weapons would work
And bows! I can see why it would be far too many hoops for the devs to have to jump through
@@Phuckboy you would probably run around without a hand for like a mission or two, then get a prosthetic one afterwards.
They'd probably give you a speed and damage penalty with two handed weapons, and maybe an accuracy penalty with bows (maybe Aiden can pull the string with his teeth?)
That thief better have offered you one hell of a reward for such a major debuff
*P R O S T A T E H A N D*

Yes it beautiful option for more challenging players looking for something more ambitious

Adding a blade like dale would be real crazy.
Yes, I would love to see this game mechanic and make it so you can buy a Cybernetic hand but has to be after 3 missions, just to get the feeling of what it's like to not have a hand on the game.
Wel THEN they would need to create useful hardware for the stump..

I would to see that…. Like getting bit and making the choice to cut your hand off to save yourself…. Or die to the infection… both with different endings
this is the type of content i was actually expecting when i played the game for the first time i really do hope they tweak the story add more factions and make YOUR choices matter
If Aiden were to get a robot hand he could be like snake from metal gear 5 phantom pain or nero from devil may cry
If the thief stole something why would Aiden give up his own hand 😂 the thief will just steal again 😂
well, there's plenty of hands around, ain't there?
Possibly a item that will help you a ton? like, almost every game?
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
I feel like this would be a great feature in future games so that you choice really does have an impact on the gameplay and story bc of the huge developmental decisions you could make
Telltale walking dead Lee:First time?
Imagine, different quality prosthetics with different effects, from literally just a hook hand to jurry rigged claws to one that almost works like a real hand, but visual not as natural.
Much better than a normal hand imho.
Looks like it might've even been a thing looking at the ball joint where his wrist would be.
It sucks that they ruined this game man it could of been one of the biggest games ever yet they got lazy.
Don’t say that they got lazy, game development is hard enough without people who don’t know what its like and hold it against studios (you)

I would love to see missions or choices that drastically change the whole game basically. Also multiple endings would be awesome.
Also anyone knlws if the dup glitch works and if so lets run it back to back !!! Ps4 !
Gone long ago.
Getting a badass prosthetic hand would be sweet
Bro took "lend a hand" to another level
I played a lot after the campaign. I’m not gonna stroll around without a hand that prevents me quickly climbing up stuff
I definitely glad they cut this, sometimes true consequences that fully affect your character and force you to change your playstyle aren't good.
Then don't offer up your hand? Wut?
Blud it's up to you it's a choice lmao
@@Skylingale tell me something gameplay wise that you don't like on either DL game.
@@nivaneh1010 sacrificing story for gameplay isn't good, there would inevitably be many more choices that would heavily affect YOUR playstyle and with the ‘its your choice’ logic I would have to play the game in a way I don't like to get a good story.
@@kiopsm8825 what more do you expect from losing your hand as a choice or a story aspect for the game? Of course it's going to change the gameplay anyway.
Shoulda made it to where you can have a prosthetic hook or something for the climbing and it be removed for things like bloody ties for the challenge
That is such a cool and unique way to have player choice and consequences. Shame we never got anything even close to it.
Though just because it’s cool and unique doesn’t make it good sadly. I deffo wouldn’t want them to add it
it feels like there could be even more choices sprawling from this too, like what if Aiden got the choice to use the virus to regrow/restore his hand, making it a part of him, or choose to leave his severed hand in exchange for his humanity and fight permanently impaired
they could have done so much more with this story and game
Bro really said "My left"
I think those kind of choices works if the whole game works around this, like a new chapter where you got prosthetic weapons/gadgets
add a permanent debilitating element in games is risky, or you make the cook stuff, or you just make a frustrating thing
Its reasons like this why witcher 3 holds a special place in my heart. Every decision mattered even if its just not saving a cat.
“My left? Or your left?”
Yes I would like to see more content like this. One of my biggest issues with most games, is the complete lack of consequence for the choices you make. Choose one side or the other in most games, and nothing fundamentally changes with the actual game. Or the changes are incredibly minor, bordering on non-existent. So yeah, have it where my parkour is now much slower, because yeah, being an amputee in a zombie post-apocalypse WOULD be a health risk, especially if the primary method of safety is rapid, athletic movement to avoid threats. It would change your whole playstyle. You'd rely on the grappling hook a lot more, and also be more likely to have to just traverse along the ground. So stealth and gadgets to distract/misdirect the zombies would be of utmost importance. You'd no longer be as able to rely on simply hopping away from your enemies.
“Your left or my left”
There are bows in the game so if you were to get your hand cut off in a side quest after you got the bow and arrow than it wouldn't make sense because I don't know anything more useless than a bow or rifle without a hand, (I am fully aware that there isnt any rifles or firearms in the game besides bows)
but it would be a cool concept if they didn't add bows and I heard in a future update they will be adding firearms to the game soon
That could have been interesting, imagine a quest following this one where you have to get an attachment in order to use a bow, or following loseing the hand you get a climbing/ reload speed debuff and in order to remove it you have to complete series of quest involving geting attachments to compensate.
Getting a prosthetic foot would be so cool with the possibilities of parkour upgrades
Dope and cool spoiler in title and thumbnail
Mgsv robotic hand for aiden would be so dope.
That’s exactly the kind of choices I want in a storyline video game choices to sacrifice your own life and make it harder just to help out someone who could come along later and return the favor those kinds of things are always welcome to me when playing a game being punished or rewarded for the actions you take in a game is part of the expierience and I enjoy it very much
The choices were world changing originally and they cut it all. Used to be able to remove Dams which made flooded areas able to travel and dry areas flooded. Rerouting power forced factions who didn't get along to live together. It was ambitious
Could have been a really cool chance for a prosthetic system. Keep your hand and all the natural benefits, or sacrifice your hand, taking a bit of a permanent debuff to health and stamina, but granting you access to prosthetics like a hand cannon/crossbow (berserk style), taser hand, fire hand, etc etc.
Most people couldn't parkour with 1 hand, but Aiden being a superhuman and all makes more sense
Imagine he looses his legs and u can get prosthetic ones that make u run faster
Prosthetic hands with different uses like sekiro woulda been sick
the idea is great in my opinion, but there should be a way to get like a metal hand or maybe if you finish this mission you get in the options menu a choice to give your hand back if your really dislikes it
I figured it would have been a thing where you don’t get a choice like some of the scenes in the first game but they would make it a zip line or a super puncher or something
I like the idea of an elder scrolls or es type game allowing you to rarely get your limbs cut off during combat and be able to survive and either get a new organic one or an upgraded magical one
Cool ta vidéo !
The choice system/world changing system was cut more than likely because it turned out to be way more than they were able to handle and realized they couldn’t deliver on it regardless of how many times they delayed the game
This would had been cool option. Making combat hard but then open up cool steam punk mods like: gun hand, chain saw hand, hook hand with hook shot ability. Doing scorpion get over here!! Fighting mechanics.
YES with the zombie mutations from the GRE in him he coulda had a bit where hand gets cut off but grows back some weird hand like the mini boss zombies like the wreckers so looses hand for a while but then gets a melee buff with regrown hand
I’d love having that make a major change in game play, like reloading pistols would take longer, you couldn’t use long range firearms or bows, no more two handed weapons, something like that would be nice(btw I mean one of the options not all at once)
This reminds me of the part in bioshock infinite when you are boarding an airship. You can choose to pull a gun on the guy or not, and if you don’t he stabs you. This makes it so you wear a bandage on your hand for the rest of the game
Having a cut hand would be cool in roleplay type of zombie games but not with parkour in the mix but sure they could add a hook to make climbing genuine but that decision making would’ve matter throughout the whole play through
its kinda funny in all the teasers for this game they kept going on and on abour rhe choice system but when the game released it feels like barely anyone ever mentions it
You know what would ve even more badass Finding an advanced warfare hand to replace it
my mans hand is built like a lego character
Yeah that's a really cool concept I'd like to see that but I would like it to be always optional I mean because as you can see from the footage you climb a lot slower
Reminds me of the rpg Lisa the painful which dose a similar thing where it makes you choose between a party member and a limb, if you lose a limb im pretty sure the consequences are that you can't perfom quite a few of your player charecters attacks any more.
Poor terry
That would be sick, only IF he got a some what advanced robotic hand that increased his stats, e.g strength if you deal damage with that hand, stamina when you’re climbing and it covers up to his elbow like a gauntlet (would be better half of his arm gone instead for a robotic arm as well) but not like a modern prosthetic an advanced one kind of like the winter soldier but a different style like you can see the joints
It be cool if afterwards you could get special prosthetics from the thief as gratitude for sacrificing your hand and do continued quest lines with him that let you unlock more prosthetics like in sekiro
I like how the choices currently affect the main story, but choices like these that actually affected more than the narrative would’ve been a neat addition. It also adds to the Zombie Apocalypse vibe it has.
Action figure ball joint hands be like:
In depth having such things happen in game and many like it would be so amazing. Could even make a new class in game for this with cool tools for problems like climbing or using weapons. We actually have a big zombie like that and becoming something like that but more control and tougher is wicked idea. Grip dudes in one hand and base them with your wicked hammer hand.
This is EXACTLY the kind of thing they marketed and totally what I was expecting.
Itll be nice. Since most choices arent impacting but losing a hand and seeing all your perk system to climb faster wouldve been also a waste.
There could've been a thing at the end of the mission where Aiden needs to go to a place to get his hand reattached and people can get a feel of parkouring with one hand.
Would definitely make the choice incredibly significant to the story . Could have even had a string of missions creating attachments as a new hand like a claw or something
It would have been good if it was like batman where you could complete other quests and get a different outcome. For eg. Aiden has 2 options cut off his hand or let the thiefs hand get cut off but if you save hakon, lawan and ciro you can save both.
That's why I don't get when games and movies are announced so early. If they announced it when the game was almost finished they could've made it as good as they wanted but no, there was a deadline so they had to hurry and release a game that was barely finished.
I'd love if they made a story update Luke how they're updating the parkour and combat where they change some quests to make them more engaging, add cut ones and new side quests
Ese vato vivio el Far cry 5 en la vida real
it would have been nice yes, but then using crossbow, bow or two-handed weapons or paragliding would have been impossible unless they would have given him a robotic prosthesis, but it would still be difficult in that context
In Sekiro that also happens to the protagonist (he loses an arm), but since he replaces it with prosthetica, it doesn't prevent him from wielding dual handed weapons or even his katana...the same could be done with Aiden, but yeah, too ambicious, I guess.
Yea it’ll make his feats more impressive especially climbing the Broadcast transmitter
I wanna see stuff like this but in its place you can get an upgradable hand such as the original point A to B grapple from dl1
I'd want to play dying light 2 more than once if the decisions worked like that
I would’ve had it to where a mission later, someone makes a mechanical hand that provide special abilities.
I agree I’ll be a really cool concepts. I’m not positive if that would be applied exactly how they intend but I definitely be interested play a game where the actions really do carry a consequence.
You know whats funny is I hear more about cut content of this game than I do of the actual game
