    My favorite types of cubes/ways to set up a cube, is to a very fast and slightly looser one because the cube itself controls my turning style. I've always worried about turning roughly, and as someone with dysgraphia (lower fine motor skills in my hand) I actually have a good excuse. But if you use a cube like that, it absolutely requires that you solve with a gentle feather touch. Rough turning gets punished, but a light grip and light turning rewards you with the cube doing all the work and performing fantastically.
    I think that's a way better way to pick a cube for some people, and it would be my recommendation if someone ever asked.
    -Fantastic video btw, I absolutely agree and I think people need to realize that.

    Imagine blaming the cube for bad solve times

    • @sune7482
      @sune7482 5 лет назад +3

      Acually thats reasonable because people have cube preferences and unstable cubes overshoot for people very often. You get the idea...

    I just got the dayan tengyun and it moves very easily and the magnets are weak, which kind of forces me to be more accurate. I also really like this cube.

    I completely agree! I used to be a very rough (inaccurate) turner which led me to stop improving around 15. After working on my turning, I could continue dropping my times.

  • @neg8545

    i kinda disagree with this take, rough/light turning can refer to how tightly you grip the puzzle when solving. its why some people prefer tighter tesnsions because the rougher turning requires more stability to prevent lock ups. otherwise there wouldnt be 8 different tension settings on a GTS3 there would just be the one 'right' tension.
    also on the topic of turning tyles you could also argue what unique finger tricks/algorithms people use could constitute for a cuber's turning style as well as their firm or loose grip.

    Should I get the GTS3M or the GTS2M with MF3RS2 springs?

    • @SpeedCubeReview
      @SpeedCubeReview  5 лет назад +1

      Depends on what feeling you are looking for. You might not even want to do spring swaps

    • @ds2td
      @ds2td 5 лет назад

      SpeedCubeReview I think I can manage the spring swap. What do you think in your personal preference is the better of the two? J Perm also like the 2M with the RS2 springs and even ditched the 3M for it. I know you’ve mained the 2M with RS2 springs before. Thanks and please let me know which u like better

    • @SpeedCubeReview
      @SpeedCubeReview  5 лет назад

      Yes, I believe J perm did the spring swap after I made a video on it. Neither is better. Check out my mega comparison ruclips.net/video/dEVUD_tIwGk/видео.html as well as my recent video about nationals "mains"

    Basically which cube is more forgiving?

    • @SpeedCubeReview
      @SpeedCubeReview  5 лет назад

      No one cube is. When you get more flexible cubes, that flexibility doesn't automatically allow for more corner cutting as inaccuracies will make the puzzle bind up more easily. Most all puzzles put currently can cut over 45°.
