  • A short documentary about the Church of Daime in Ashland, Oregon. Originally produced in 2010 for a show called Denizen TV.
    We get asked occasionally, but currently have no contact information for the church. There doesn't seem to be much information online about it either. Here is a message board post from someone who did get in touch with them: www.shroomery....

    Ayawaska should be taken seriously, and administered cautiously. There are drug interactions. Having said that, I have xperienced a ceremony for myelf. It was safe for me apparently and with a positive outcome. I count the experience as one of the most profound and beautiful of my life. The effect wear off, but the remembrance and the lessons it gave remain like a well from which I can continue to draw from many 9 years later. I feel that if it can be given safely to those who are suitable, this could change our whole world. Used a right of passage, throughout one's life, discriminately - not to be abused, and applied therapeutically when we go through those bumps in life. It allows you to experience forgiveness of self, of others and deeply cathartic as many of us have never experienced the immense power of forgiveness and acceptance has over our demeanor and health when we have it for others, from others, and for ourselves. It doesn't erase our pain, nor can it un-do the wrongs inflcited on us in life or the aching recollection of the wrongs we have inflicted on others. What it can do is give you a flash of our Creator's genuine love and help you remember that indeed we come from somewhere else and that we are not alone, and bathes you in a wash of forgiveness that hurts as much as it helps. they call it "work" because yes, it is an inner journey towards the shores of our heart where divinity is our source but there is a desert to cross before we can have a drink. The first hour and more after ingesting the tea , for me, was fraught with mental and psychological unease and uncertainty, with sounds of familiar voices unintelligibly drifting through my head, and stomach discomfort during the purgative stage. I ate clean the week prior to my ceremony, so it was an easy time for me when I got sick...just liquid. I advise everyone to do their research. A ceremony leader that I know, or a 'padrino', is also a phramacologist and takes drug interactions into account. I appreciated that he took this very seriously. The more knowledge out there, the safer the us for us all, and the more benefit we can all receive.

      when i said *hurt*...i meant the good kinda hurt, like after a work-out and it hurts so good! I cried like a baby and out came years of trauma and pain like a gushing waterfall. And yes, it felt good to release all of that. It was blissful really. There were guitars playing, an instrument that resonates with me, that I find very healing.....it helped ease the situation of being among people I didn't know on my first experience with a ceremony and feeling paranoia with the onset of the ayawaska after drinking. Setting can also play a factor in the overall experience I feel.

      Mi vida cambio por completo, para bien . ❤❤❤❤

    What is known is that you have an experience. Other than that, no one knows what's going on. That's the scientific truth of the matter. If each person is seeing something particular to their personal life experience, then that leans towards it being a hallucination. Just like with religion, people always project their own values onto it. There is nothing external about it.
    If these entities do exist, then that's another study for science. Christianity hardly provides good examples of loving personal enlightenment.

    • @camimendes
      @camimendes 6 лет назад +4

      Why don't you attend a work dedicated to "Archangel Michael" in the Daime doctrine first (focused on healing obsessor spirits and lost souls), then tell me what you think. Or go to Brazil and participate in an Umbanda work, then tell me if you think "entities" are only a hallucination. :)

    • @jimisru
      @jimisru 6 лет назад +1

      Well why would I do that? I do not believe in the Archangel Michael, or any other angels. I have a completely different hagiography. Maybe I would meet Janis Joplin.
      However, the proof is up to you. You're presenting this as fact, so if it is real, then show everyone.

    • @camimendes
      @camimendes 6 лет назад +4

      Well you were talking about opinions and experiences and entities... Until you have experienced what we talk about in the Santo Daime when it comes to entities, all you have is an opinion based on what? RUclips videos? Stuff you read online? You said entities are a hallucination. I simply invited you to go to Brazil and participate in events where we deal with spiritual entities, then you would have have an opinion based on actual experience, that's all. Love.

    • @jimisru
      @jimisru 6 лет назад +2

      No, I would have an opinion based on MY experience, which could be an hallucination.
      It would then be up to me to provide evidence that I could repeat. I would then have to show this evidence to other people so they could examine it, to prove these entities exist outside of my personal hallucinations.
      Hallucinations are fun places to visit, but you can't live there.

    • @TheGreatMunky
      @TheGreatMunky 6 лет назад

      @@jimisru Life is one big hallucination. Our brain perceives the world in a certain manner and we have come to accept that it is that way.
      Our eyes detect a tiny sliver of electromagnetic waves. Our ears detect a tiny sliver of air waves. Our skin detects a small temperature range. All of these add together in our brain and our brain tells us that this is reality. But the truth is that we don't truly understand what the brain and body can fully detect yet.
      For instance, if my cell phone has its ringer off, vibrate off, and it's face down so no light shines from it, it will still wake me up in the middle of the night if someone calls or texts me. I've told this to multiple people and they all look at me like I'm imagining things. But this tells me that either the phone is creating microwaves that my brain or body is detecting, or it's creating some extremely high pitch sound that my ears are detecting. Either way, it should be out of what my body should register according to our "reality" and known science. But it still happens, far far far too many times for it to be coincidence, and with multiple different phones/brands over the years.
      There is still a lot of this reality that we do not understand or perceive.

    Anything that is not biblical is called CULT. Jesus doesn’t encourage us to lose consciousness, the contrary, the Holy Spirit only works with consent. Only in Christ there is true freedom.
