I am also using the 3M HCD-2 water (cost $2488 when I bought it) purifier which is 100% made in Korea and serves my family very well for the past 6 years. The best feature is the really cold water can have continuous flow for 2 litres straight. And the safe child mode with anyone with young ones in the house. The hot water is actually very hot which i don’t understand why Alex mentioned it’s not very hot. Several times I used the hot water to cook instant noodles too.

We've had a poor experience with the Hydroflux H2300 model, having used it for close to 2 years.
We researched on many brands and models before deciding to invest $2K+ on the H2300, BUT condensation issues surfaced less than a year after using it. The water dispenser has a lot of condensation on its external body, and there's so much condensation leakage that it affects our new kitchen carpentry.
Even more frustrating is the after-sales service. Hydroflux states lifetime on-site warranty, but our unit was sent back once to fix and came back with condensation leakage worsened. We're still waiting to fix it. (Note that the only way to request for servicing is to call via phone, however they usually say they'll check and call back but have been unresponsive.)
Overall a water dispenser has been essential to our lifestyle for its convenience and accessibility! We are just hesitant to recommend Hydroflux to our friends, not sure if it's just we suey with a dysfunctional condensation model, but the chronic issues for our dispenser in our new home have been quite frustrating.
Great video as always Alex - engaging and informative! The idea for app integration with water dispensers and reminders to drink water will be useful. Cheers!

Hi, where do you buy the 3M waterdispenser and its filter? Through Jestac? Jestac is selling original price $1888 after discount is $1688. The filter is $140 last for 6mths. How long does 3M waterdispenser last? Do you do any maintenance besides changing the filter? Is the cost of the filter reasonable? I have a hard time deciding with so many brand out there.

I am single and is going to live alone in my new 2-room unit. I was considering getting a water dispenser but my friend told me it is not worth the investment and changing the filter will be costly since I am the only one using it. Instead I was recommended to just install a hot/cold piping from the water heater to my tap water and just drink from there... Although our tap water is safe to drink, it would be good to have water filtration for my water consumption. I'm so lost on what's the best option for me. T_T

Just a gentle note as my current home setting are like your but after using it for almost 8yrs, water quality does drop due to the hot water tank ( i know as i recently change my water tank and the water inside and rust). and most ppl do not totally empty (as in using up all hot water in their hot water tank, you keep reheating the water that is left in your tank. so you imaging what is happening in your tank.In long run is not good. I personally advise you to get simple low end filter water dispenser. SG water is good when is directly from the source, not through a water tank

    Hi Alex!
This is kinda a surprise but I bet this video will benefit many ppl. I'm using Livingcare for the past 1+year. I chose it for it's compact size & colour options. Fyi - I heard from the hydroflux team that Livingcare, Ruhens & Hydroflux itself are under the same parent company when they ran roadshows in my neighborhood shopping mall. They offered me an upgrade to Wish but I had like approx 2 yrs of warranty left & for now I don't have much kitchen counter top space hence I didn't, but I am impressed by the water flow as compared to my Livingcare as my current one causes splash solely because it is tankless (hence small size), and doesn't have a pump (saves electricity) to control water flow as it uses your unit's water flow to dispense the water. Hence for my old folks who are impatient at getting hot water or cold water, they find that it's flowing too slowly. Volume options are 110, 250, 500, infinite (for this I've measured before, if room temperature it can be up to almost 2L, but if hot water it is maxed at 1.5-1.8L). Hot water options go up to 90, min temp is 40. I find it sufficient to make tea but for cup noodles if you like it piping hot this will not match your expectations.
According to the hydroflux team, they told me that Livingcare internal piping are made of good quality plastic that could withstand heat but due to it's compact size & no pump it has limitations on volume to dispense when u need tons of hot water, I do noticed that as it need some cool down time after I dispense 90 degrees hot water at infinity mode.
Overall, as much as I love the Wish's aesthetic & may upgrade my Livingcare if after my family members move out & I got more kitchen space. If not I am quite happy with the compact size of Livingcare. Easy to change filter, it does prompt you with indicator light when it's time to change filters.
Oh, on top of that, before starting to use Livingcare, I had on-tap filter too & still continues to use that to dispense water for cooking & also coz of it's spray option. I do drink water dispensed from the on-tap filter when another family member is using the Livingcare dispenser.

Thank you for your review, I'm considering to get water filters mainly to not have to boil water so frequently for my family of 5, as well as to easily get cold water when the weather gets too hot. The Wish is one of the consideration mainly due to the filter being removable from the front, instead of from the side when some may not have the space to do that in a compact kitchen counter top. And there's only 1 tube of filter to change vs other models that has at least 2 tubes. As lazy as we can get 😆.
