I just had to comment to tell you that I have a backlog that looks much like yours. I am going to have to watch your journey more closely and maybe I will get some motivation to work on my own backlog. I really enjoy the low-key chill of your channel. Thanks for videos.
I have the parisian restaurant sealed as well. You made the right move to keep it sealed. The typewriter turned out amazing. It's so cool it has some functional parts to it. You did an amazing job on it. That Darth Vader mosaic is going to be so sick hanging on the wall. If I remember right, I mentioned a while back it would look awesome with some red LED back lit lighting so it would glow on the wall. Awesome week in Lego buddy!
Good Saturday Afternoon Greg!! The typewriter is a wonderful build...It is so realistic...and thanks for straightening the keys. :) The "paint by numbers" build is a fantastic project for you and the Clark to share. It is amazing how realistic and intricate these sets are...thanks for sharing this in a stream...enjoyed chatting with the frequent offenders. Have a great Saturday with Cody and the Clark and company. :)
I honestly say that once a set retired, it's an investment for me, especially if I don't have space or something better or more important that came out to fill its display spot.
@brickitect That has happened with the 1989 batmobile for me. I got it for my 21st birthday a few years ago. Then, last year, I finally got Indiana Jones sets and am a big fan of the movies. Ever since I was young, I knew both batman 1989 sets were staying sealed going forward. I have built the minifig scale 1989 batmobile, though, and loved it, and the minifig scale 1989 batwing is in my backlog.
My problem is that I like to wait until a set is closer to retirement before buying b/c I can often find them discounted. But if it sits in my backlog queue too long and the value has gone up, I don't want to open it. But if I find a set at a deep enough discount, sometimes I buy two -one to build and one to keep sealed as an investment :)
@JasonGN2045 That was my plan with the lego ideas sesame street set but I never found a 2nd one on sale ever. Only just got the 1 I have a year before it retired.
While I enjoy the longer format, to me the jump between days still feels a bit off. Maybe you could make little 'day bumpers' to go in between those sections? It might just be me though who's having this issue.
Sometimes it’s days, sometimes it’s hours or minutes. I do the fades between significant movements in time/changes in subject matter. It’s the best way as it’s not super disruptive like a bumper would be. I like to think of these as a continuous journey and not a day by day accounting.
Yo greg how you doing. Mate. 😊 Waching this 2 day s later sint s posting it. Yes wise choice the 😊👍👍type wrighter. Is lovly build. I so need one 😊 😮😮wow i thort i recall seeing the parution restirant is werth $400 new in box. Im glad i have that moduler 😊
Oh dam 😅bag 6 9 yes. Dun that once s to. .i can not waite to get the type wrighter set. In high school we had to you one once s. I know what other set s i geting. To go with the set ..
Greg, If you turn Ninjago city Docks around 180 degree, you will see that all the signs and shops lines up perfectly with the Original set. You can ofcorse has it anyway you want, I just want to inform you that you has it backwards. I commented about it in the last vid (6 days late, I know) . Not sure you read it so Im commenting again.
Very interesting! I went with the way it is always shown as an independent set and even on the front of the box. After reading your comment, I did some searching and you’re right! It does look better spun around when connected together. I’m going to rotate mine. Thank you!
You tried your hardest but man, replacing the Parisian Restaurant with the typewriter is rough! Don’t sell it though, it’s a great set and build whenever you do decide!
Believe it or not, if both were sitting on a shelf at the store, I would buy the typewriter first. I’m more interested in unique builds of realistic objects than Modulars. In fact, the last one I built was the police station and I think I’m going to sell it. I like having cool pieces on my shelves as opposed to buildings, but to each their own. People with cities have no need for a typewriter. Luckily LEGO makes both and we can follow our interests.
I buy the camra set. Pleas greg .😊. Holla .i built the 3in1 creator camra got a extra one to help some one out with one. Now to get the polroid camra .$80. At legoland hope to get for $45 0r. $50.
@@brickitect That makes sense. Both have their pros and cons for sure. Random question for you. I relate to you as an AFOL more than anyone else on RUclips that I’ve found (work, family, son, lots of Lego, sell some stuff). I have an almost 5 year old boy with autism and ADHD that I’ve attempted getting into Lego a few times, however he just ends up throwing it/destroying it. Obviously every situation/kid is different but I’m curious when it clicked for Clark?
He started playing with sets I built when he was 2. Then he got into Duplo and we’ve been going ever since. I’m sure each kid is different and it will happen when he’s ready.
@@brickitect the stuff u find at flea markets and yard sales is wild! i find some pretty good stuff too.. but nothing compared to what u find! cant wait for the summer to roll around to see those videos!

i do agree a lot
I will live through you. The typewriter is too rich for my blood, unfortunately, but it is SO COOL!
Definitely a good choice keeping it sealed, esp if you don't keep, collect the modulars, that brick link program set value might shock you as well
I haven’t seen a backlog update video in a long time, when did you accumulate all of these sets?
Remember all those haul videos I did over the years? Yep that's where it came from.
Great video Greg! I’m loving these long weekly videos:)
Nice one🙍 klark man on your little robot. Build 😊👍👍
I love the typewriter!
Greg is such a tease with that voting conspiracy maybe you could find the set pre owned for us 😊

Yep. That's a good philosophy

I feel like you and Clark should play a game called nobody saves the world
Lego is meant to be build. It still will be worth the money even if it's open
You’re right on the first part.
I personally like the big videos. Also I’m sure it’s nice not to have to edit and publish as often during the week. one and done (albeit larger).
I like making these into episodes instead of today I did this little bit. A weekly video tells a whole story. Sometimes many of them.
