It sounds like you have some ducking going on. Is this being controlled by the PlayFader or is there a side chain compressor control in your EuroRack? I'm not a EuroRack guy so forgive any ignorance here.
Looks like a lot of fun! Although it’s not functionally packed(for instance , does it have swing? The rhythm starts to get dull fast) the $450 price tag isn’t a dealbreaker, but does raise an eyebrow.
hiya, totally great point about Swing. We're just testing a new firmware that changed the quantisation engine to allow us to add swing, plus make it a bit more intuitive in the way it quantises your live playing and recording. Some more nice bits to come in this update too and should be ready in a week or two. The next firmware update is planned ot switch on and access the accelerometer that's quietly hiding away inside. We've got some great plans for that, plus at least two completely alternate firmwares that will unlock things like a 4 track euclidian gate sequencer, polyphonic CV chords and envelopes. Also in terms of current features, it talks full MIDI and MIDI Chords (3 flavours and more to come like Circle of Fifths) but also Buchla and Hz/v. There are currently 6 FUN FX but we have the room to add many more. Would love to know what else you'd like to see in PlayFader, we want to make a sustainable music device that keeps giving more with the same hardware, and we've got plenty of processing power and memory to do quite a bit more. Our enhancement list is already pretty big and we're always happy to add more and re-prioritise based on what folks are looking for. Love and patches, Hadj
Have we become this lazy to the point where we can’t google? 😅But I think, I understand what you're alluding to-citing your sources is a no-brainer, and one less click for the user. To be fair he does have it linked in the more section
Good shout, we like to compare it to things like Rene 2 as it's also a 2 (and kinda 3) channel sequencer. And PlayFader gives you MIDI and MIDI chords simultaneously alongside the CV and gate outs, which can also be set to Buchla and H/z per channel. Plus we have patch storage too, 8 of them, and 64 steps, dual buffered per channel and a hidden accelerometer that we're going to switch on soon :) I actually love and own both a 0-ctrl and Rene 2, and I think they're different enough to have us sit in between the two in terms of price. It's also an honour to even be compared to such a wonderful sequencer like the 0-ctrl. Hope this helps, let us know if you have any other questions. Love and patches Hadj
I had a look at this at Bristronica and I love the immediacy of it. Looks proper fun to have as part of an improv techno rig. Very tempted.
Wow! I've finally discovered a channel where the explanations make the machine completely understandable. Keep up the great work!
Glad to help!
Very fun little box!
You should do a live PA through livestream, unless you have your gear built to be mobile I guess.

Hi - yes I am using the Voices compressor and the WMD MSCL to help with some side chain - just a tad to move the oscillator out the way of the kick

@@hadjhifi8910 awesome! firmware to the resuce 😀
Swing is something you’d have to make happen through a module that has swing.
No link to the play fader?
Is this what you need? goplayallday.com/playfader

Very cool! The fact that is comes in at a higher price than “Make Noise
0-CTRL” seems a bit problematic. But very cool nonetheless.
