    There was a followup exactly a year later, with video tributes from Bill Cosby, Connie Chung, and Ed Marinaro, while NBC nurse Denise Robinson presented Wendy with the network’s dental plan. Then a clip from “We Are the World,” with Paul replacing Bruce Springsteen. (This was before that song’s publishers sent a cease and desist. The show consequently never reaired anywhere.)

    I loved when Dave was at NBC and was always taking the piss out of the network, especially when GE bought them later. Comedy gold.
