    All you armchair miners yapping about the truck not being full, y'all understand how heavy iron ore is, right? I drove a Volvo A40g in a limestone quarry. Depending on where in the quarry we were loading from, the size and quality of the stone sometimes 8 scoops weighed 40 tons and sometimes it weighed 55 tons. Some of those big honkers they have on those trucks weigh 10+ tons by themselves.

    What an incredible ballet. Guaranteed, the production manager is going to look at this and think of how to reduce the turn time. Lol. How perfectly orderly, controlled, effective, well planned, and efficient this is. This is production at near peak of human expression.
    Thanks for posting.

      Using more dumpers the capacity of the crusher would be used better.

  • @peteacher52
    @peteacher52 3 года назад +22

    What's the delay? Why have a crusher with that massive capacity if the truckies have to wait for some unseen message before dumping? Is this inefficiency or have I missed an explanation somewhere?

    • @Hermiwalle
      @Hermiwalle 3 года назад +4

      im guessing there is a finer crush under this one that has less capacity due to having more material to crush since most stuff falls through the first one. but that is what I think the waiting could be

    • @TexasGTO
      @TexasGTO 3 года назад +8

      They are waiting for the operator to tell them when to dump or it'll overload the crusher and belt system. You need to understand just how much material is being dumped at a time. Look at the ladder that's there laying off to the side and compare that to if a human were using it. Some of those rocks are larger than cars.

    • @protectoroffaith
      @protectoroffaith 3 года назад +1

      @@Hermiwalle being iron ore that shit needs to be crushed a few times. So yes there would he a secondary crusher under that beast

    • @tontobb8956
      @tontobb8956 2 года назад +1

      I agree seems slack
      But they might struggle downstream of the primary crusher with capacity issues or some other issue. We just don’t and won’t know though
      Also remember what u see is the primary crusher and there will be secondary and possibly tertiary 3rd crusher which further crushers the ore into finer dust
      Getting the plant all the way downstream to work in cohesion is a balancing act mate. It’s a difficult thing to get right as equipment slowly wears down
      Hope that helps you

    • @justintremblay7657
      @justintremblay7657 3 года назад +4

      You don't. They are designed to keep a certain amount of stone in the hopper to keep wear down. If the dumped stone would slide on the steel all the time it ould wear down faster. By keeping rock in it it's rock sliding on rock.

    • @stephencarr8853
      @stephencarr8853 3 года назад +2

      Yes , these trucks would be 100 tonne capacity .Because iron ore weighs about 3.3 tonnes per cubic metre about 34 cubic metres is fully loaded .If it was coal the same tonnes would be between 50 &65 cubic metres

  • @johnnymurff4137

    • @alokechakraborty935
      @alokechakraborty935 2 года назад +1

      Iron ore density is much higher than other similar bulk loads( Earth,coal,sand etc). So a small volume of ore completes its weight limit (100T).

    I've never worked at any mine where I was ever allowed to load haul trucks that light. Whoever is loading these trucks sure as hell isn't doing there job. Plus you need to add some proper spill boards to the truck boxes.
