    Why would we put QJ in the backfield instead of Laviska Shenault? Lavi actually played that position a lot with the Jags and Panthers. 50+ carries with a 5 yard average! Probably a better WR too.⚡️☝️

      Because then Shenault could play WR instead of QJ. QJ at RB makes sense.

    Like the idea alot I'd love to see it, he's always reminded me a bit of Cordarrelle Patterson. With the backs not really taking the opportunity of J.K. being out it's definitely worth a shot, plus it should give him confidence + more ways to get him the ball for yac without it strictly being bubble screens. We need to be able to adjust like the chiefs did 2 weeks ago (couldn't handle pressure hardly at all) Bolts had em quiet until they went all out on the quick game

    • @joshhughart289

      I don't think QJ has the leg drive to play Rb if we are being real.

    • @RJBuckit24
      @RJBuckit24 8 дней назад

      @joshhughart289 Fair point but I’m not really saying to ground and pound with him in-between the tackles. Just have a package or a couple with him back there for outside runs, or as a check down option with a higher chance of getting him the ball in space as opposed to deep/intermediate stuff that he tends to struggle with rn.
      I know we hardly throw to the rb but it’s just an idea to get him and the offense some sort of extra dimension. Maybe it helps get Chark out there more to stretch the field and open some other things up, I don’t know I’m just spitballin really

  • @Roylty

  • @twhoyoutrynabebuchanan5149
    @twhoyoutrynabebuchanan5149 8 дней назад

    That’s actually a really good take. Using QJ like he’s Percy Harvin or Cordell Patterson. This is Herbert‘s first year without Austin Ekeler and I noticed he haven’t had that check down guy he can go to when pressures in his face like Austin was , so aye man. QJ you’re the new Austin Ekeler. I think that’s actually the best role he could have.

  • @BootLegger-im7kd
    @BootLegger-im7kd 9 дней назад +3

    QJ idea sounds good to me. At least worth a shot. But with the abject ineptitude of the offense it seems like many players and strategies should have been at minimum given a reasonable chance.

LOL Can you just imagine what the front 7 of the Donkeys would be thinking!!??? They'd probably be like...WTF!!??? Of course we'd have to pick the right time for it too. Like 3rd and say 5+yds? Also how about take shots out to the flats with DD or Palmer. When I watched Kamani's tapes from college, just about every game, the more carries he got the better he'd. Roman's GOT to get his FAT AZZ head out if his Booty hole too! Like you along with just about everyone's been saying. Stay with the DAMN running game! Don't give up just because we're only averaging 2-3 yds/ play!! HIM OF ALL People should know that if you want to have a successful running game, STICK with it! They're going to get tired sooner or later. As long as our defense keeps us close we'll be fine. Thanks guys. BTFU!! My game prediction: Chargers 24-20. Herberts throws at least 2 TD'S. 1 to QJ.

      He doesn't really run unless he absolutely has to (or a few times he recognized the coverage early, and took off if there was an obvious hole). I don't think it needs to be a major part of the game plan, more of something to be aware of. That being said, Payton should start using him for QB designed runs more, but I doubt he will, he doesn't seem to like running the ball, even with RBs.

Its almost like that 1st down means nothing. It needs to mean everything. The Defense is doing well until we start to lean on them for the game, its getting old when the offense is a straight 3 and out and the defense is back out again.
