Hello there. It's been TOO LONG, right? Two months, almost? Well, better late than never.
These summer vacations have been wonderful, believe me. I'm just sorry I couldn't upload any videos while I was off but the laptop I had with me wasn't powerful enough to handle more than 3 VSTs at once, even with gigantic buffers.
Here I am, though. Hope you enjoy this remastered version of Opelucid City's theme from Pokémon White. I really don't know if I like the Black version better...

This cover is by far my favorite. It evokes a particular feeling in me, something so melancholic yet joyful. I guess the best way I can describe it is like the feeling of crying tears of joy.

Oh and about this specific rendition, it's just beautiful. It's melancholic yet happy and cheerful, it reminds me of my childhood, when I first played Pokemon White, my first Pokemon game. Of course, the original version is also what I've described, the original Opelucid City is also a wonderful song, but your version has improved it a lot in my opinion and emphasizes these aspects even more.

Ahahah yeah I had a hard time deciding what the hecccck that timbre was and the quality of NDS sounds doesn't really help. I went for a violin merely because it's far more expressive and distinguishable. 😆

No, indeed, they're very different. The erhu is a bowed instrument, the harmonica is an aerophone.
The thing is, NDS samples have a notoriously mediocre quality which makes it a little difficult to tell them apart
