The creamy oil on the cap could be due to condensation due to cooler ambient temperature. You guys had snow over there and colder temperatures than usual. At least that’s what I’ve noticed when changing the oil on my wrx back in KY at 40 degrees 18:18
And also the vehicle not getting up to temp.. from moving the car back and forth. Starting and stopping with out warming up will cause condensation to build up on the cap
that headlight restoration kit is the best! I've done the headlights on both of my cars and my sister's truck. the truck turned out AMAZING! the headlights literally look brand new!!
@19:14 when using healy coil or whaterv reducer kit that is for oil drian plug, use RED locktight on threads connecting the adapter to the pan itself. otherwise there will be a time when you go to undo your drain plug and adatper just comes out with it. you want adapter to become a "permenant" fixture to the oil pan. that way only the drain plug ever wants to bolt and unbolt from the pan, not the adapter. much respect. love the channel
Stuff on cap is probably built up condensation under the valve covers from sitting so long and just moving for short periods never fully warming up and burning off condensation. Happens on a lot of equipment that is used occasionally for short periods
Always look forward to when TJ posts. Im in college going to school for my associates degree but im also taking mostly automotive class and i like coming home to a TJ hunt video.
Don’t let Teeg’s fat dump truck at 20:18 distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running three Honda civics with spoon engines, and on top of that, he just went into Harry’s and bought three t66 turbos with nos, and a motec exhaust system.
The creamy residue at the cap is nothing crazy. I had it on my car as well. I checked fluids and did all the works. Inspection was good and all the boxes checked. End of the day i came to the conclusion that my car was happy and it just nutted…. Soooo yea
Bags are not the problem. It's the shit management. I have never had a problem with airlift 3p. I've also never maintained it other than putting airline antifreeze on install. Besides that never bled the water traps nothing lol. Get rid of the accuair. Mind you ive bought atleast 6 used kits and 3 new that I've had so far.
You can get Mayonaise oil on the cap from condensation due to not getting engine hot enough to evaporate the moisture. Usually water will come out exhaust too if you don't drive far or long enough.
After working in an oil change place I’ve seen lots of that foam build up on oil caps and in most cases it’s just condensation buildup in the engine and vehicles that do lots of idling
creamy film on the bottom of the oil cap is typically just condensation from the oil vapors, cold/hot temp change from the start/stop etc. motor has alot of moving parts and alot of condensation / vapors come from the fluids. Never hurts to check tho!
Creamy oil on the cap is condensation. Your not running the car long enough for it to warm and then your shutting it off. Quite common, not a huge issue like you anticipate. The threads you inserted into oil pan are a “helicoil”. Had to do that on my motorcycle a long while ago. Very cool i agree. Always scared of getting metal shavings in the engine though. You guys think the grease is safe enough or are you going to flush it before running it?
@tjhunt That is called short tripping... If you start the car and move in quickly and dont get the car up to operating temp, condensation builds up in the valve cover and collects on the oil cap.
As someone who lives in pa. I think bags are suspension for rough roads and if you have a steep driveway then shoot for the moon but nicer roads like cali or tx coils will do fine. Imo idk im a looser.
Bags are for groceries, you're doing the right thing. Bags ruin good drivetrains. If you have no power and wanna look cool by all means go bags but with amount of work TJ put into that engine Bags are a travesty.
I could be wrong but the foaming could be from you guys moving it and it not getting up to temp after many times of doing that it foams up and just collects
That creaminess you’re talking about is just condensation. Drive the car for 20 mins at temp and it’ll be fine. Too many short drives or short starts. It’s probably just on long enough to move the car.
TJ Hunt Great Video I think it's was sad to see Selena's Air ride Suspension get removed although I understand why it was and I think Dillon did a great job with it as well as cleaning your Nissan 370Zs Headlights
If you get bc coils its the knob on top of the coil that sticks through the tower, it should say soft or hard on the knob twist the knob to the desired spot. The soft setting means more fluid flows and the ride is softer hard means less fluid flows and its a stiffer ride.
At least on video, that air rated oil is quite common here in Ohio in the colder months. Typically it's a mix of cold temperatures and short drive cycles. The motor does not run hot enough long enough to burn the condensation in system. Still not a bad idea to run through the car again.
I’d love to see a 22 WRX build with home much HP those new 2.4L engines have been putting out stock. Painting the fenders makes the car actually look good too.
The problem with airbags on a car , is that they're built to be just good enough for the weight of a car . Big rigs use airbags for suspension and have zero problems with them . Someone just needs to build an airbag system that's a little bit more durable .
Do you run the car short periods of time to move it around? If so the car is on open loop when cold (ie rich) which is the fuel smell in the oil and it being thin. The froth is from condensation from not running the engine long enough to get it to operating temperature to get the moisture out of the system.
Bro its not the head gasket, I get the same thing, it's condensation that builds up and just causes the oil filler cap to cream up, drive the car for 20 30 minutes and it disappears. Its normal nothing to worry about.
The mom jokes are crazy 😂
Lmao 😂
Tell your mom I said hi
Dude these videos are killing me. You guys are undoubtedly the funniest MOST productive combo to watch.
Would be awesome to see the rest of the gang to have projects they’re working on
I second this
@@itznexie i 3rd this

TJ going over to throtl to just roast their shelving system 😂
My thoughts exactly 😂😂
You know, you could keep your trunk setup and just throw in 2 nitrous bottles in the back. That would be sick AF.
Or he could have done air cups

This is normal in colder states/locales. From WI and this is totally normal in the winter months.
This
Came here to say this. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
And also the vehicle not getting up to temp.. from moving the car back and forth. Starting and stopping with out warming up will cause condensation to build up on the cap
Happens with Gtis aswell if you dont let it fully warm up
Anthony's editing combined with Dylan just being Dylan is just the best!
Judging by tj’s laugh about Anthony’s hot mom tells me its true 😂😭😭
❤❤❤

Dillon’s voice when he imitated Barry Meguiar’s voice 😂
@1:00 Calvin with the HERPS! 🥰🥰🥰
somewhere AdamLZ is smiling knowing that you are no longer running bags.
The creamy residue at the cap is nothing crazy. I had it on my car as well. I checked fluids and did all the works. Inspection was good and all the boxes checked. End of the day i came to the conclusion that my car was happy and it just nutted…. Soooo yea
Run NOS where the air bag tanks used to sit😎
Hey Dylan, maybe you can finally swap those z1 intakes around in the Z. Chach jr and Chach sr installed them backwards.

The mustang is such a gem 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Right into the mailbox! Dayummm... @6:00
*The colour grey just pops I've been wanting a car in that colour for a while* 😮
If you say tj hunts bagged car’s first thing come to my mind is calvin and tj doing bagged things in Calvin’s garage back in the days.
No one can blame tj for not driving and showing all his cars there so many of them lol dude rly living the dream

Tj is gonna be running Toyo tires for this next drifting season 🤫🤫
Keep moving forward Tj, love the channel
Hell yeah, Miley getting them coilovers 🔥👍 Bags are for groceries 😅 jus playin. Keep Moving Forward

Widebody and bags the world Teej 🌎
The Calvin smelling the bud had me dieing
Teej doubted our boy at 16:38
Gotta love the end clips 😂😂
18:07 😂😂😂 yoooooooooooo
16:33 Calvin got his ass 🤣
i haven’t watched you in a min, but god damn t’eej your such
a dawg
Believe that foam is still from condensation under cap (normal). But your oil is greenish. So that's why u have that tint in that as well!
We want mustang content. 100% needs to happen
The bag era has ended 😢
Finally
Same. Finally. Welcome to adulthood.
Bags 🎒 are OverRated....Lol
@@ND-ICU and fucking expensive too
Thank god. Killed what otherwise would be great builds. “Bags handle just as well as coil overs” No, not they don’t…
Been watching tj for years and now feel like it's not even the same channel tj isn't even in half the video 😂
@tjhunt That is called short tripping... If you start the car and move in quickly and dont get the car up to operating temp, condensation builds up in the valve cover and collects on the oil cap.
Replace the air tanks for Nozzz tanks. Dope
Seen the white stuff from cap when motor starts but doesn’t get up to operating temperature used to see it a lot at a dealership where I was at
You had me cracking up over here
Nana's P....... 🤣🤣🤣🤣

With the creamy substance on the oil cap. I've had problems with the down pipe sweating and causing the same issue
TJ GOT A TIRE SPONSOR!!!

about fucking time TJ
Benpack hooking everyone up this year!!
It's a proud day, TJ has grown up! 😅
God I love the bloopers at the end 🙌🤌😂😂

imagine not being static in 2023
could you guys explain how you tune the damping on coilovers? How do you know whats too much/too little damping?
If you get bc coils its the knob on top of the coil that sticks through the tower, it should say soft or hard on the knob twist the knob to the desired spot. The soft setting means more fluid flows and the ride is softer hard means less fluid flows and its a stiffer ride.
Thank you TJ. Glad to see you're growing up.
i didn't know Manny K was helping teej work on his cars thats dope
I kinda dig the wingless look on Miley
The title word play 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
“so much cakkeeee” 😂😭😭😭
I love how in clips, TJ was yelling at tony to not record the white board, and here he is not long after recording the whiteboard. Lmao
woooo I thought you were selling the BRZ from a glance of the thumbnail
Never heard somebody explain a helicoil so complexly lmao
At least on video, that air rated oil is quite common here in Ohio in the colder months. Typically it's a mix of cold temperatures and short drive cycles. The motor does not run hot enough long enough to burn the condensation in system. Still not a bad idea to run through the car again.
Teej my man are you going to be at the gridlife festival in Kershaw,SC?
Its great to see miley be driven again. Would like to see more videos of that teej
Teej finally growing up 🥲
Our little Teej is growing up! #byebyebags
The cap for the new threads for the oil pan is called Heila coil
Teeg is finally maturing and going with coilovers!
TJ, can u pls restock on the crewnecks pls? Really want the cream and blue 😫
Well I agree with tj if you no longer getting the sponsorship get rid of the bags. Ever since accuair died everyone is going back to coils.
You can do Clear PPF on the headlights after all and it lasts waay longer without yellowing
Nice little helicoil fix
I cracked up so hard at the Russian accent “middle school humor”.
Throtl sponsor (BC sponsor?), levrack sponsor, mvmt sponsor. TJ going crazy in 2023
I’d love to see a 22 WRX build with home much HP those new 2.4L engines have been putting out stock. Painting the fenders makes the car actually look good too.
Doctorrr 🔥🔥🔥🤙🏽🤙🏽🚀🚀🚀
@Tjhunt the white on the cap is condensation from running the car for short periods of time and then letting it sit
Goodluck this weekend!
Finally growing up son

marleyyyyyyyy is backkkk
Now you can be wide body and spacer King!
Straight up thought you were going to say "My Nino" 00:52 lo
IM NOT YOURE NINO - Calvin

Holy fuck this channel makes my day!!!
Truth or happiness , never both .
What a fucking line Calv had😂
Right on time for lunch break!
