    If you're wondering why I only have RX 7700 XT results in this video and none for the RX 7800 XT, it's because I was only sent the 7700XT to test and review for before embargo. Regarding my choice of side by side comparisons with other cards, I chose the 6700XT because I like to show generation-to-generation performance uplifts for the same tier cards. On Nvidia's side, I chose the 4060 Ti because they (both the 8GB and 16GB) the direct current gen competition at it's price point, I only tested the 8GB model because the 16GB model's performance in most games are within single digit % differences. I wanted to include the RTX 4070 in this comparison because traditionally the RX -700XT cards competed head to head with the RTX --70 cards.

      Maybe the 4060 Ti crashed in Hogwarts Legacy because of insufficient VRAM? My friend with a 3060 Ti also experiences crashes when enabling RT in 1440p.

      I wanted to note that the 3070 competed with the RX 6800 at launch (and the RX 6800 was $50 dollars cheaper than the 3070 at launch). After the 6800 showed that it wiped the floor with the 3070, NV came out with the 3070 Ti model afterwards. The 6700XT competed with the 3060 ti from the get go.

      I personally have been eyeing the 7800xt since Price compared to the competition looks like a larger bang for my buck. Also I am a stickler for larger bus and can't see spending $400+ for a card with less than a 256-bit bus, that is my bottom - now for something $399- I will consider 192-bit.

    Any nerd on a budget can clearly see how this makes the RX 6700XT shine! Especially when picking it up used! I'm sure I'll see a video by Danny, where he's getting that card for $200, like he did when the GTX 1070 had been out for only a little while, and he was shaking with nervousness getting the money for that adventure!

      That GTX 1070 was such an OG pick up, and still remains one of the best pickups I've had. Maybe not from a "how much money was saved vs how much it would have cost normally or new" but from a holy crap, the GTX 1070 released only 9 months prior to that point at an MSRP of $380, and for me to get it at $200 just felt amazing!

    The results are pretty much what I expected, though I was a bit surprised at how often it was fairly close to the 4070 and even though it lost most of the time, there were also a few times when the 1% lows were actually better at least as an %. It's a shame this card will be overlooked (most likely) because of the 7800xt only being $50 more. It's not a bad increase in performance over the 6700xt, but not so drastic that you need to go and upgrade if you already have the 6700xt...and if you're on a budget, it also makes more sense to just buy the 6700xt because it's about $120 less right now...or a 6750xt for like $80 less...If only AMD had priced the new card about $50 lower it would have made more sense. Still, not bad compared to the NVIDIA options and even still a decent improvement over last gen with some added features (AV1 with more features on the way...eventually).

    I just ordered a 4060ti and that is after seeing the initial impressions of the rx 7700xt (and 7800). Almost all review are about the 1440p performance for the price.
    HOWEVER, for me its about the size of my case/cooling and power consumption. I want to keep my power supply under 550w, and do not want an oversized case and/or cooling problems. Basically that is my criteria and I want the best performance to fit that criteria. The 4060ti is clearly the best option for what I want/need.

    Good video. You either have an ultra rare golden sample or the 4000mt/s ram is hurting your performance, you want to keep the infinity fabric to memory 1:1. Anything above 3733mt/s and the ration goes to 2:1 on the vast majority of AM4 cpu's. I've seen 3800nt/s work at 1:1 but never any higher.

    • @TheHunt890
      @TheHunt890 Год назад

      In my experience 1:1 4000mt/s works best with 2 sticks on AM4, I had to bump down to 1:1 3800mt/s to have 32GB of RAM with 4 sticks. At the end of the day the performance uplift is probably super marginal anyway.
