Hello. This is military training for nomadic warriors disguised as a game. In their free time from wars and raids, warriors trained among themselves, simulating military operations. For example, they bend down and grab prey while moving, push their opponents with their horses, train their horses so that by squeezing their knees they understand which direction to move, since their hands should be free for a sword or archery. In this game, the goat weighs about 30-50 kg. Which, in turn, also trains your arms and endurance.
People here in the USA will play a joke on you then say they were only trying to “get your goat”. Then they act confused when you chase them down and trample them with a horse during lunch break.
This game has been around for +1000years. The mongols played this or a varient of this game to help with horsemanship on the battlefield. Not to mention many other empires throughout the past 3000years.
Great video, fantastic game. I saw this as a kid on tv. And afterwards we played it on our bikes.... I saw this vid a few years ago but with another music somehow celtic music.. Was much better
Since there is a lot of footage from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in this video, why don't we call this game Kokpar/Kok Boru in their native languages. Kokpar/Kok Boru/Buskashi is a traditional nomadic game in most of the Central Asia, from Eastern Anatolia and Southern Russia to Western Mongolia and Western China.
This specific game is from Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 Kok Boru . Of course Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 has its own game Kok par with slight differences . There is tons ov videos about Kok Par as well on RUclips . 🙌🏽
You must be born a Kyrgyz man to play like this. This is KOK BORU and definitely Not Buzkashi 🇰🇬💪Check out Manas Niyazov and his legendary horse Boyka 🐎👍

1:10 JFC this game is fucking intense. As someone who borderline worships sports and competition as the apex of human empowerment (we're never at our best like we are when we're competing against someone else) this is fantastic. Sports, games, competition, fighting, it's sacred to me.
Hello!
Its impossible to control when coming on such a high speed! Even if you driving a car unbuckled you would fly right into the windshield when coming to stop right away . Plus horse 🐎 are amazingly Well trained specially for this sport as they know which direction they are heading to after a rider picks ip the goat (dead of course weighting around 80-100 lbs) and know exactly when to start slowing down and eventually coming to a complete stop which would throw them away . And sometimes Horses throw the players in the basket purposely as they seem to play sport as well 😂.
Them falling off the horse and yeeting into the circle of justice (that’s what it’s called - Google it lol) is what gives us the entertainment portion we so desire.
This is not an Afghan sport its a nomadic Turkic sport in Afghanistan and other Central Asian countries its played by Turkic people. Kok-Boru means Sky/Blue Wolf in Turkic laungages. Basically we can call it rugby with horses lol
@@streamx2cuz Buzkashi is a Parisian word, and this game is mostly played by Uzbeks Turkmens and Tajiks in the City of Faryab mazar i sharif balkh and Badakhshan🔥✌️.

Are fucking kidding me? What's that? buzkashi? WTF??? This is called Kok-Boru and this is the traditional game of Kyrgyz people (Kyrgyzstan )in the video two the teams of Kök-börü Dostuk vs Yntymak. Some people call it The Kyrgyz El Clasico like football Barca vs Real. Call this game with true name KOK-BORU please.
Sorry man, but that's Afghanistan's national sport. it's "true name" is called Buzkashi like the title states. But a sport is never limited to one region and is adopted by other nations as it's popularity increases so even if the teams in this video are from Kyrgyzstan (which like you said they are) doesn't make this sport limited to JUST Kyrgyzstan. But I'm not going to debate which Nation had adapted this sport first. All I'm saying is that it's the traditinal game for more then one country and it has several true names.
