- This is really a video I was hoping we'd never have to make. The house build is turning into a nightmare. Our confidence in Clarendon is gone.
We know we are not alone, as we are in contact with several others within the area. Months of no progress and broken promises are taking their toll on many of their customers, including us.
Clarendon Homes, what are you doing to your customers and reputation?

Horrible, we are 3 months over our build. Just have to keep putting pressure on them. No more mr nice guy
Its all you can do. I find their facebook page helpful for getting some responses

.. we just signed a contract with them the papers going thru council now. We are in western sydney, was originally from wilton so yeah bowral not that far from there.
Seeing houses pop up around this area at least 3 i know clarendon building.
Had their plumber subbie come out and do our storm water connection he said even though he does all Clarendon’s plumbing he wouldn’t choose anyone else to build with.
I asked do the look like they gonna fold … he said no way.
Time will tell i guess.
Seen a lot of home owners in the studio so they still getting a lot of work so 🤞
Yes I wouldn't be too concerned. I think all builders were saturated with work. Trades could name their price. I have spoken to many who say thats turning around. The new build's pipeline is now pretty bleek and they are hungry for work. So I would expect things will improve. I hope to have a good news story soon - fingers crossed!
Feel sorry for you. Your's in a better shape than mine tbh. Construction started 13th July 2022, Framework completed 07 Oct 2022 and then almost 5 months of no activity. After myriads of requests only got the roof done on 16th March. But guess what, the brickwork is still not done. Promises from Site Supervisor and Area Managers didn't help with the brickwork at all. 31st May 2023 is when the building period ends so they are not going to finish on time. I wonder if they are going to be broke like some other builders as well.
Thanks. Sorry to hear your build isn't in great shape either :( Lets hope they are sound financially. Certainly their brand is taking a hit with all of this. My conclusion is that they signed up too much during 2021/22 and now cant deliver the builds due to various reasons. It's nightmare for everyone and, at times, I feel for the SS the most being in the middle...
@@fairlands Thank you. Fair assessment about their workload. I go well with the SS but don't understand why he needed to make false promises and not getting the job done. Understand if it was once or twice, but he has been doing this for the last six months. Hope things changes soon.
Very sorry to hear. We are supposed to be getting slabbed in the next week or so all going well. We are fearing the same outcome. What recourse do you have if they continue to be shit? Lawyers?

Site meeting had this morning. Again all the right talk, we need the follow through. Time will tell!
@@fairlands you must really be past it with the site meetings now. THey may as well promise you a slice of the moon or a knighthood in Scotland unless people actually turn up and start striking a blow. I think public shaming is what is required now
