Tom, I had been a long time follower of your music through Johnny's videos and have always wanted these extended soundtracks. You are gonna go a lots of heights. Thank you for your fascinating works. 😇
@@grahammacnaughton8398 The reason why I felt that way is because of the Johnny Harris videos. I recognize this track he uses either at the end of the video or he uses it on a sorta sad/minimal hope? part of the video. One of the best youtube journalism video!
Holy shit, since Harris' video on the scramble for africa ive been obsessed with Latter Days (32:47) and finally I found it. Absolutely amazing piece of work.
I used to listen to cercle and boiler room a lot. Since The music room, I haven't touched them. Tom there is something in you. Already feels like I want to hear you live in India. Thank you for this. Lots of love and support!!
I'm writing a paper on media effects while listening to this. To remain motivated, I visualize the end product as a youtube video, just like The Newsroom does. I have till March 31st 2023 to deliver it. I'll update this comment with the result :) ( just leaving this comment here as accountability and also as inspiration to other fellow academics
@@notaspectatorThanks for your message :) I actually did make a video, but it was kinda rushed haha. It's on this channel (where I'm commenting from). The paper is about Cultivation Theory, Toxic Masculinity, The Manosphere and Andrew Tate. It was affecting me deeply so that's what I wanted to analyze and debunk. My argument was that by cultivating a certain set of values on marginalized groups (incels, MGTOW, pickup artistsm etc) you not only enable them to act out in aggresive ways, but you also put other communities at risk and force them to self censor. I also explained the roots of how men end up falling into those groups because there have been changes in the last decades that put some men at a disadvantage. The problem is that instead of self-reflecting, understanding how men were oppresive to others and working together to build a better world, some decide to victimize and alienate themselves, slowly turning violent. A clear example is Elliot Rodger, who ended up committing a series of homicides under the excuse that the women deserved it. The paper was graded well, but I mean it's just a hypothesis. Maybe the Manosphere is right and the Matrix is after them 😂 If you do check my video, feel free to tell me what you think. The actual paper / sources is linked on the description too 🙏 Take care and thanks again for your interest. It made my day ❤😂
@@zeroxdan Hi Dan, ive lost many men friends to them becoming hard headed and defensive, indeed I have plenty of elements they do and worked on it become aware and not judge (yes some) but steer clear and make other choices and sharing. I speak freely at various mens groups to raise awareness of our shared biases and yes that word that triggers them, toxic elements. much like my Dad did, and yet its taken him a decade to adjust to his own bs, therapy would've saved him at least 5 years of life.
@@notaspectator Hey, first and foremost thanks for even noticing the same behaviors and working on yourself. That already is the biggest win, since all you can really control is yourself 🙏 I know how difficult it can be to raise awareness, but over time some people get it. All you gotta do is plant the seed of awareness and let it grow at its own pace. I feel that once men have a relationship they want to recover or when something truly forces them to rethink their life, they start the process. The world has not really gotten any better lately, but hey, that just means we have work to do haha. Don't give up. Things change 🌞 And also thanks for keeping an eye on this comment. It is a wonderful example of how the internet can bond people. Wish you the best. May you be happy and at peace 🙏🩵
Starting our journey is the one song I've been dying to find the name of ever since Johny used it in his Korea video, and I finally found it. It's such a beautiful song!
These are great TOM! I like listening for listening sake! I'll even use it as a track to play a piano on top of just for fun! I also play a little game try to remember/guess how the song was used in a video. I'm vibin at home right now! I'd be interested to see the process of how Tom and Johnny narrow down on the tone and sound of the music to have it match the video! By now does Tom just see a rough edit and just create? Or is there a lot of back and forth?
As a musician i'd like to say - OMFG - last track is so immersive, soul-touching, heart-moving... i have been searching it for so long. Maybe we are from the same star ;) Who knows, the world and universe is so small, Tom, Harris, best regards from Poland :*
@Johnny Harris, could you upload in your previous (already released) videos titles of the themes used? Prolly in the descr. or in the pinned comment. Would be great if it was posted also in your vox' videos as well ❤️🩹☄️

Starting A New Journey - very positively surprised. Did not expect full on 4/4. Nice subtle touches and details, despite being superficially simple.
