To be a truly beautiful person is not something that happens by accident. True beauty is achieved through tireless effort and a lifetime of experiences that shape one’s character. By “beautiful,” what I mean is inner beauty, which is far more extensive and lasting than outer beauty. Here at my home in California, I came across a book I bought a few years ago titled Being Beautiful, by Helen Gordon, which incorporates quotes related to beauty from various figures throughout history. The quote I have shared in this video is by the late Swiss-American psychiatrist Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, who is a role model to me. Her words show us that suffering, struggle, and loss have a way of softening our hearts and making us more beautiful on the inside-if we allow them to, and if we choose not to grow bitter and hardened by them. I hope to inspire you to strive to become a beautiful person through life’s challenges. 💞
