My God. How great it is to hear someone sing "Crazy" where you can hear and understand every single word. Most productions of it are in some parts muffled, and words chewed... to the point if you didn't already know the lyrics you could never get them from them. She sings with clear diction and enunciation.....what a rare treat.

The difference between an “artist” and a singer, I think, is what your getting at. A singer can certainly be an artist, as in the case if this video. But an artist frequently is not someone who can actually sing.
The band aint bad either. I love how they give her space and support her instead of distorting the song and showing off like most of the cover artists.

This is one of my personal favorite covers of IMY2, probably because of the supertight playing and performance. This is as believable as it comes in terms of telling a story with your music. You guys turned what was a very catchy pop song, into a piece of music that sounds like a classic. The phrasing, timing and vocalizations are just exactly what does song needs. It makes sure you can understand and digest the lyrics.
For comparison, I just watched approx. 50 other covers of this Gnarles Barkley song, Crazy. I found this "imy2" version was the absolute best of them all. The group/ singer have done this version to perfection. Her voice has the power to project this, ...as well the most beautiful voice of all I heard, and her enunciation and clarity are stunning. Of the 50 I listened to......there were about five other groups/artists that were excellent.....but this crew here, imy2.....she/they are the top banana ......the best of all.

You know a song is good when there's not a spot that is more commonly replayed. The entire song, every part of it is replayed by an even amount of people. Every second of this brilliant song is wonderful to listen to
most likely labels dont want to sign them. they are giving their artist free publicity so they keep making covers because thats the only way they make money... when they do make an original song it dosnt get radio play or promotion because again labels want them to stay in the yourube lane..and they dont have enough fait in youtubers to sign them....the fans need to watch their original songs and promote those.
Every time someone asks this question, I only have one question for them, can you pick her voice out of 50 other artists? Is her voice unique enough that you can immediately recognize her by it? If not, she doesn't really have a chance. There are plenty of people who can sing really well, but if they can't sing well UNIQUELY then they are just another good singer.
It is utterly amazing how you guys nail every song and make me think they are better than the originals. How the vocals seem to fit every single song just flabbergasted how good everything you do is.
This music isn’t ‘real’ music. It’s been computer manipulated with Protools. It’s all in the post production. Amazing what they can do now. This is becoming more common, especially for groups that are past their prime. Protools can tidy up all the loose bits and make an old voice sound youthful.

One of the most incredible things of your covers is that your production values (in addition to your respective musical skills) always end up in a version that's AT LEAST as good as the original, no matter how great the original song is. That's a pretty amazing track record. What a frigging amazing band.
